The big Dem talking point on why they’ve chosen to shut down a government in order to stop funding for a border wall is that walls don’t work.

That’s what we’ve been hearing from Pelosi and from Dem senators. Walls don’t work. They’re a medieval technology. It’s a waste of money.

That’s nonsense.

Walls work. That’s why politicians and celebrities, including the ones opposed to a wall, have them outside their mansions.

But if a wall didn’t work, why not give Trump that $5 billion?

Dems expect people to believe that they’ve suddenly become budget conservatives over $5 billion, even as they were part of a political establishment that has been running up trillions in debt and trillions in oversized budgets over the last decade?

If a wall didn’t work, the Democrats would happily allot $50 billion to it. The only reason for them to oppose it is because they fear it will work.

They just can’t say so.

The rank and file Dems still haven’t quite grasped that their party militantly supports future illegal migration, no matter how many signals they get. And so the Dems play this little game in which they pretend to oppose border security because it’s ineffective, rather than because it works.
