A familiar story. Dems only do offense and Republicans only do defense.
Congressional Democrats are betting that a coordinated offense is their best defense against the coming Republican investigative onslaught.
Democrats on Capitol Hill, at the White House, in agencies and in outside political groups are gearing up to do battle with the Republican committee chairs probing all corners of the Biden administration as well as the Biden family’s financial dealings…
Their plans include launching sustained attacks against the two Republicans expected to lead the most aggressive probes: Oversight Chairman James Comer of Kentucky and Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan of Ohio, who is also leading the new so-called weaponization of government subcommittee with a wide investigative mandate. Meanwhile, outside groups are planning to bring the fight local and visit more than a dozen Biden-leaning congressional districts to go after vulnerable Republicans involved in the investigations.
The Dems only do offense these days. It’s been a while since the situation was bad enough that they even felt they had to do defense.
Faced with Biden scandals, they found George Santos and made him the face of the GOP. The House GOP tried to go after Rep. Ilhan Omar and the Dems united behind the Islamist antisemite while Republican House members from Rep. Nancy Mace to Rep. Matt Gaetz decided to defend Omar’s presence.
Democrats have a strategy and it’s China’s wolf warrior strategy. Go hard all the time. Always attack, never defend. It helps to have a $12 billion media array in your corner and virtually every national institution as well. This just means that Republicans are the insurgents, but rarely act like it. In power, they have no idea what to do, out of power, they scramble and cry about fairness. Republicans are divided over even the most common sense things, like booting Omar off committees, while the Left has united the Democrats.
General Patton had some thoughts on that, “I don’t want any messages saying ‘I’m holding my position.’ We’re not holding a goddamned thing. We’re advancing constantly and we’re not interested in holding anything except the enemy’s balls. We’re going to hold him by his balls and we’re going to kick him in the ass; twist his balls and kick the living shit out of him all the time. Our plan of operation is to advance and keep on advancing. We’re going to go through the enemy like shit through a tinhorn.”
The Left follows Patton’s strategy. Conservatives, not so much, too many of them are too busy fighting a perpetual civil war because it’s easier, safer and more profitable than fighting the Left.

The Democrats are Trying to hide Bidens dark little secrets from the American People that is far worst then Nixon and Watergate ever was
Una Salus says
Offence is good. Otherwise you’re only pretending to defend. Reagan understood that. But if you have some view of the world otherwise it will be otherwise.
Una Salus says
Republicans only do defence. You can’t defend against everything.
Una Salus says
Unless you can remind me of the last time Republicans went on offence. Maybe Newt Gingrich. The younger days. This is no virtue.
Algorithmic Analyst says
There once was a Republican who went on offense. I used to greatly admire him. Now I can’t remember his name. Maybe it will come back to me in a day or three.
Una Salus says
Republicans go on offence maybe on foreign policy when they still had a non-woke military. That’s about all.
Una Salus says
The reason that Trump is useless is on offence is that he has no offence besides ego. That’s his offence,
Cat says
Someone famous once said “There you go again”
T D S
Una Salus says
He’s not supposed to have any ego and if you’re offended by that notion get an offence.
Una Salus says
It’s like he has no idea how much they hate him unless he wants to prostitute himself for them. Maybe he’s coming around?
ron says
How much does the deep state pay trollers for treason these days?
Ugly Sid says
I don’t quite know what to make of these inconsistent, sporadic expressions either.
What evidence have you Salus is a paid troll?
Ugly Sid says
Trump isn’t perfect.
But he is aggressive, usually right, self financed and on our side.
CowboyUp says
Me either. I wish he would combine some of them so I don’t have to scroll so far to make a comment. But then, maybe that’s his real point.
Jeff Bargholz says
Hey, did you ever see that video of the Tyre Phillips beating I sent you?
Jeff Bargholz says
Una isn’t a troll. She’s been commenting here for years and her opinions are genuine.
Song_Of_The_Bluegill says
If you are unwilling to fight your enemies more ruthlessly than they fight you, you have lost the war before taking the battlefield.
That perfectly describes the Republican Party and account for why they lose most elections and why the country is in the state that it is today.
Algorithmic Analyst says
The best defense is a good offense.
Patton was a good general. My Dad was with Patton’s army in France. Dad took us to see the movie “Patton” when it came out. At the time I didn’t know Dad had served under Patton. Dad rarely talked about his wartime service. I remember he once mentioned he spent some time in Metz. Now it’s too late to ask him.
Una Salus says
I didn’t know the right questions either AA because I didn’t know anything. That’s how they wanted it.
CowboyUp says
Patton had a very interesting childhood. He actually bumped into McArthur on the battlefield in WW1 when they were junior officers. I’ve read a couple of biographies on him, and McArthur.
A really great biography to read is Chesty Puller’s.
Algorithmic Analyst says
Thanks Cowboy! I remember I read Chesty Puller’s book some decades ago and enjoyed it greatly.

Can we find a place a place where Trump doesn’t admit he isn’t i a part of Hollywood rape culture?
Jeff Bargholz says
WTF? Are you calling Trump a racist? That’s deranged. The guy spent his youth porking models and Playboy bunnies and they liked it. His wife is beautiful and elegant.
Jeff Bargholz says
I meant “rapist,” not “racist.”
Una Salus says
I don’t think so. Maybe you think otherwise?
Una Salus says
I mean going around your circumlocutions would be tantamount to admitting he is so much Stormy Daniels.
Cat says
Oh for a block or mute button here. Maybe someday

Republicans do go on offense … against conservatives. If Mitch McConnell had simply sat on his hands or spent his time stumping for Demokkkrats … he would have a majority in the Senate and a wider majority in the House – despite the obvious election fraud.
So Mitch can clearly defeat Americans trying to take back the GOP … so it’s not completely fair to say he won’t do ‘offense.’
Just sayin’
… I know you all know this already, but I just think it’s funny … 😉
Daniel Greenfield says
I’m no fan of Mitch McConnell, but we were never going to have a Senate majority with candidates like Mehmet Oz, Herschel Walker, or Blake Masters
Mitch McConnell deserves the blaming for refusing to advance a conservative agenda, but there’s plenty of blame to go around for the 2022 midterms. And the GOP has spent years in the same circular firing squad without accomplishing anything. The bottom line is nothing is getting done except more empty rhetoric.
The Dems are not stuck in that failure pattern.
Jeff Bargholz says
What about McCarthy? Do you think he’ll accomplish anything? He said today Congress needs to cut spending but I don’t think he would do it anything but superficially.
Daniel Greenfield says
McCarthy has no meaningful power now, or leadership skills or much in the way of motivation. He’s the weak leader of a divided coalition. And Republicans having the House while Dems have the White House and the Senate hasn’t been much of a success story in the past.
We need to cut spending, but there’s little appetite for it. Likely they’ll put on a show, cut some things, spend more money on other things through various gimmicks, and business as usual
Jeff Bargholz says
Yeah, that’s what I figured. And in the same appearance where he said spending needs to be cut he lied and said he’d just had a conversation with Alzheimer Joe for over an hour, when we all know it was the dotard’s handlers who did the talking.
Gordon says
This is a great example of how Republicans only defend except when going after their own. Very clever of you to demonstrate your article in the comments.
Algorithmic Analyst says
Hey Dan, thanks for the comment. Good to hear from you!!!
You probably know that Republican who went on the offense, he was somewhere on the East Coast, maybe Carolinas or Georgia. I seem to remember he was working for one of the George Bushes. My memory is getting worse, can’t remember his name. Maybe he had a brain tumor or something and was operated on and turned into a nice guy. I actually saw that in the toughest, meanest neighbor I knew growing up (business partner of my Dad). After brain surgery he turned into a sweet, nice guy. That memory really stuck with me.
Daniel Greenfield says
Phineas Gage. Although that was probably a myth.
Una Salus says
Trump is so stupid he think’s we’re you’re average Democrat that didn’t the sweet spot. Maybe he’s right.
Jeff Bargholz says
See a therapist for that TDS. Seriously. You need to drop that. It’s festering inside you.
Una Salus says
There are zero apologies for Trump. I don’t care about him at all.
Ugly Sid says
Do you think him insincere?
Jeff Bargholz says
Trump has nothing to apologize for. His tenure as President was the most successful in ANYBODY’S living memory.
Spurwing Plover says
Senator McCarthy was right all along about the Commie Scum they want all of America under Communism that’s why they want to erase the Borders with Mexico and Canada disarm all law abiding Americans turn schools into Leftists indoctrination Center close all the churches open up all private land to so called refugees redistribute the wealthy and put all who oppose them into Gulags
Sword of the Spirit says
And the RINOs just acquiesce. Just like the border Governors speak but do not shut down the border making it appear they are concerned but are really just playing along and yielding to the will of the DemoCraps and global elite.
Jeff Bargholz says
Yes, Abbot is a fraud. He uses gimmicks like sending illegal aliens to other states but they’re still here and millions more will come.
