It’s the House so this bill is virtue signaling for the upcoming election.

But if it were implemented, the $15 minimum wage hike would wipe out an estimated 1.3 million jobs (0.8% of the workforce) or as much as 3.7 million jobs. 

Predictably the Democrats don’t care. Or, rather, they win either way.

Some workers get raises. Others go on welfare.

Either way they become clients of their activism. 

The whole point of these moves is to make everyone dependent on the government. And, specifically, on political interventions by Democrats.
