Does childhood cancer also touch the divine for Prager? Because childhood cancer has no evolutionary use. None. Why did it develop? What’s the evolutionary use of it? We don’t know of any. It seems to be a gift that God gave to the human species.
We don’t know why some men are homosexual. Why from pre-verbal infancy some men are conspicuously effeminate and grow up to be intensely and exclusively homosexual and have produced great music, great art, and great women’s dresses. Is this an argument for God’s existence? Because homosexuality has no evolutionary use. None. Why did it develop?… Every culture has homos, why? What’s the evolutionary use of it? We don’t know of any. It seems to be a gift that God gave to the human species. And so does homosexuality touch the divine for Prager?
Homosexuality is the result of either faulty genes in the very early development of a foetus or nurturing by a pervert, the latter being the most prevalent.
Cancer is a faulty cellular structure.
Death and all other morbidity are evolution at work, you know that.
I’ve been trying to find someone who could show that music is indeed evolutionary, but nobody has yet, and your comments have not you have simply given alternative potentially evolving issues.
Humans are not the only creatures with real music. Some birds seem to create beautiful musical structures, and cetaceans sound as if they sing too. Maybe it’s to find mates or warn of danger or frighten off interlopers, or maybe they just do it for fun. But they’re not Haydn. Or Bach, or Beethoven. Come to think of it, it seems as if Europeans excel in creating music and other cultures are kind of left behind. What is it about those DWEMs that can create such sounds? I don’t know if there is an evolutionary benefit, and sometimes when I am fighting with a Haydn piano sonata I suspect that there is not, but once you’re infected with the bug you can’t stop.
Homosexuality is a human deviancy. Cancer is at ragedy in all species it affects.
Fortunately for the rest of us, your understanding of music begins and ends with a couple of Beatle and Elvis ballads.
Try the music of your beloved Renaissance and the Baroque. Of course most of it was in the service of God and the Church, so there’s that. Icky Icky Icky.
And fortunately for the rest of us that music as well as Beethoven and Mozart will exist and inspire long after your pathetic attempts to deny God have withered and died.

I love music and I really do think that it comes from God!!! I am a Christian and sometimes when I pray I begin to sing. I had lung cancer and the music helped me to get through it. The doctors had to cut our my right lung and I had to stand with Jesus and He has never left me down!!! The Surgeon had music on when he was getting ready to work on me. I think that music is made from God!!! It is the best thing that all of us have no matter where we live!!!

I have to agree with Prager. I think that the Lord made music!!!! Everyone in the world sing some kind of music. I sing all the time to Jesus, grandchildren and my own babies. I had cancer in my lung and noticed that the surgeon had his music on and it made me feel better before I fell a slip. It was a long one and after eleven hours I awakened and they got everything though now I only have one lung. I give that to Jesus and the first thing I did was to sing. That was a long time ago and I am still healthy and now I sing to my grandkids. They love music!!! I think everyone loves it. I truly believes that God gave all of this so that when things are hard you can sing!!!
