Denver public schools decided to let black kids be shot in schools to protest systemic racism.
Denver’s public school system is officially ending its relationship with the Denver Police Department (DPD). The district’s school board voted unanimously this week to remove police from all schools by next year in order to undo “the systemic racism that black children and children of color face.”
How did that work out?
Denver’s school board voted unanimously Thursday to allow armed police back into the city’s high schools, a decision that comes a day after two administrators were shot at East High School and nearly three years after the board decided to remove officers from buildings.
The Board of Education suspended its policy barring school resource officers through June and directed Superintendent Alex Marrero to work with Denver Mayor Michael Hancock to “externally fund” two armed police officers and as many as two mental health workers at all high schools for the rest of the academic year.
On Wednesday, Marrero said he will station two armed officers from the Denver Police Department at East for the rest of the academic year. He has also said he is “committing” to have an armed officer at each of Denver’s comprehensive high schools despite the fact that doing so “likely violates” school board policy, according to a letter he sent to directors.
“However, I can no longer stand on the sidelines,” Marrero wrote in the letter to the school board. “I am willing to accept the consequences of my actions.”
The superintendent’s decision was supported by Mayor Michael Hancock and comes after police say a student shot and wounded two administrators inside the school as they performed a daily search of the teen for weapons. The shooting was the second to occur at East in about a month.
Finally systemic racism has been solved.

Cultivated by the left. The dismantling of the family via welfare and the government schools believing the kids are theirs and help raise children without moral guidance and impulse control. Add Rap and social media and you’ve got a mass of out of control rage monkeys. This applies to kids of all races given the same circumstances. I see this lack of self control in my mostly white neighborhood. The main difference……consequences are real.
It’s all fun and games until the school board’s administrators are used for target practice.
Every cop in the district should refuse Hancock’s intent to put them back in schools. The school board and administrators made their decision, let them live with it – and die with it. They wanted the schools to be the deepest, darkest jungles. Keep them that way until they close down. The “defund the police” mob are always the first to cry for a cop when they’re the ones under threat. Fuck them.

Yup. As bad as the regular public schools were, they had to have a whole other set of schools for the MRs in the SF Bay Area.
That’s actually a good idea, so long as they weren’t mixing the violent ones with the innocent ones.
I’ve realized for this a while now. Except they still need to aim higher, and further away.
Someone should ask the superintendent why he’s supporting systemic racism against black children and children of color.
There are certain things that are as predictable as the sun rising in the east. This is one of them. The left is unreasonable in their unreasonableness. This is why the founders were so keen on individual responsibility and limited government.
The entire School Board should be sent to Detention for the rest of the coming School Season then have their paychecks deducted by 50%
