I’m not sure that this is what the IRGC had in mind.
When President Trump took out Iran terror leader Qasem Soleimani, we were repeatedly told by Iran’s apologists in this country and by the Ayatollah’s terror state that revenge was coming.
Now the revenge is finally here.
A woman is accused of stabbing her online date in retaliation for the death of a 2020 Iranian leader killed in an American drone strike, police wrote in court documents.
Nika Nikoubin, 21, had met the victim on the dating website Plenty of Fish, police in Henderson, Nevada, wrote in an arrest report. The duo then agreed to meet at Sunset Station Hotel and Casino on March 5, renting a room together.
While in the room, the pair began engaging in sexual activity and Nikoubin put a blindfold on the victim, police said. Nikoubin then turned off the lights, and several minutes later, the victim “felt a pain on the side of his neck.”
Nikoubin reportedly stabbed the victim “for revenge against U.S. troops for the killing of Qasem Soleimani in 2020,” police wrote in a report.
U.S. forces killed Soleimani in a drone strike in January 2020.
After the stabbing, the victim pushed Nikoubin off of him and ran out of the room to call 911, police said. Nikoubin also ran out of the room, telling a hotel employee that she had just stabbed a man, according to the arrest report.
Nikoubin appears to be from an Iranian family and originally from Berkeley. Nellis Air Force Base is pretty close to Henderson. The media had previously linked Nellis to the Soleimani kill in the most cursory way.
The 200,000 people who packed Nellis Air Force Base in November for the Aviation Nation airshow got a glimpse of the kind of attack drone that killed an Iranian general earlier this month. Along with the flashy fighter jets and giant transport planes, an MQ-9 Reaper performed a flyover before quietly heading back into the Nevada desert. It’s the same type of remotely piloted aircraft that the American military used to kill Gen. Qasem Soleimani at the Baghdad airport, sparking war fears in the Middle East.
Did Nikoubin head to the area because of Nellis and Creech Air Force Base, also in the area, and then try to hook up with a USAF pilot. Particularly one who might boast of piloting drones?
It’s a plausible scenario.
Fortunately, she proved to be a mediocre stabber and Soleimani remains unavenged.
