Biden’s strikes on the Houthis were a hollow bluff that failed to dissuade the Iran-backed Islamic terrorists from continuing to launch attacks on shipping in the Red Sea. Some people who watched the coverage on CNN were initially impressed. Those who knew understood that it was all a show. And information keeps coming in of just how hollow a show it really was.
Yesterday we learned that...
The United States-led airstrikes on Thursday and Friday against sites in Yemen controlled by the Houthi militia damaged or destroyed about 90 percent of the targets struck, but the group retained about three-quarters of its ability to fire missiles and drones at ships transiting the Red Sea, two U.S. officials said on Saturday…
But the two U.S. officials cautioned on Saturday that even after hitting more than 60 missile and drone targets with more than 150 precision-guided munitions, the strikes had damaged or destroyed only about 20 to 30 percent of the Houthis’ offensive capability, much of which is mounted on mobile platforms and can be readily moved or hidden…
Today’s admission is worse still.
“Message received and some degradation but we expect a response and don’t believe we have set back their military efforts substantially,” one senior US official said of the strikes.
The message that Iran and the Houthis received is that we’re sending them yet more warnings because the Biden administration is fearful of actually stopping them.
And so they’re continuing to do what they’ve been doing.

Interesting for theory of war. The Prez gets 3 options, mild, moderate, strong. Invariably the moderate option is chosen, which prolongs the conflict.

Ineffective by design, all for show. Until the US stops supporting Iran monetarily, this stuff is a charade.

Warning shots don’t work, they never work.
The Military Leaders should know this better than anybody.

The Houtis are a Saudi problem and the west has become involved because the Arabs are too feck”n useless to do anything about it despite being given advanced military weaponry for the oil that we extract for them.

Well, Biden wouldn’t want to provoke anyone with a meaningful response to the Houthi interference with world trade in international waters, would he? Weak, weak, weak.
