Sometimes, coincidental events can be chilling. Last Saturday, I received a telephone call from someone I know who is an ardent supporter of the LGBTQ agenda. On several occasions, he has criticized his state legislature as fascist for drafting and debating several pieces of legislation regarding transgender issues involving surgical procedures on minors, bathroom use, affirming someone’s actual sex, and so on.
During the course of our 13 minute conversation, he inquired numerous times about which church my family attends. This struck me as odd so I demurred, which the caller said he didn’t understand. He persisted so I told him the denomination of our church (Presbyterian) and left it at that.
Twenty minutes later, he texted me a photograph of a specific Presbyterian church and asked, “Is this the church you attend?” I deflected the question and called him shortly thereafter. During that conversation, he again insisted on knowing where my family worships, and again I demurred.
This took place a few days after I learned about the Trans Day of Vengeance in Washington, DC March 31 – April 1. The announcement encourages wider participation saying, “If anyone is interested in organizing in their state, please fill out the contact form.” The group also offers a helpful “organizing guide” for those who are new to transgender militancy.
These events were a little disquieting and the next morning while getting a cup of coffee at church, a trusted friend casually asked me how things were going. He noticed something in my reply that prompted him to ask what was wrong. I briefly related to him the events of the previous day to which he responded, “That’s creepy.”
Upon returning home from church, I received an email from another person I know, and who also supports the LGBTQ agenda. The email offered a lengthy denunciation of my position on those issues and my lifelong Christian faith, suggesting I’d been “drawn into a cult.” He concluded by counseling, “open your heart,” and “understand people unlike yourself.”
Eighteen hours after receiving this email, Nashville happened. As I tried to keep up with events and process what had happened, I learned that the friend of a friend, who used to be a pastor at a Dallas church, lost a child in the massacre. She was nine.
I am not suggesting that what happened in my case had anything to do with Nashville. We still do not know all the details of this shocking event but one thing is clear. A young woman was so wickedly disturbed that she committed mass murder. While the nation grieves and hugs its children a little closer in the aftermath of this slaughter, the news media are fretting over misgendering the killer.
Hatred of Christians and their faith takes many forms. So does intimidation of Christians who disagree with transgender ideology. Sometimes, it’s the clumsy browbeating of oddly inquisitive phone calls and angry emails. Sometimes, it manifests itself in the horror of Nashville. While these illustrations represent extremes on the LGBTQ intimidation scale, the common thread that connects them is the demand that we concur. Now, the agitation is escalating.
I cannot precisely account for this escalation but I can observe events. State legislatures across the country are seeing the risks of transgender ideology and passing legislation to ensure that children are protected from it.
The website Them, which promotes itself as a news site that explores, “what it means to be LGBTQ+ today,” provides a pretty good compendium of recent legislative and executive actions at the state level. From Florida to Idaho, Arizona to Georgia, and other states including Indiana, North and South Dakota, Kentucky, Tennessee, Iowa, Mississippi, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and elsewhere, lawmakers are hearing from their constituents and responding accordingly.
Bills are being passed and laws are being signed for one reason; people are speaking up. They recognize the evil associated with transgender ideology and are taking civic action. It is the American legislative process and it is working.
This terrifies the authoritarian Left. They see this in real time and know they are failing. Badly. Recognizing this reality, and knowing this legislation sprouts from the voice of the people, it would make sense for the losing side to try to intimidate them into silence.
If those who disagree with LGBTQ ideology can be frightened into keeping quiet, it benefits the Left. Whether it’s creepy text photos, demeaning emails, days of vengeance or mass murder, the ultimate intent is to dissuade people from participating in the legislative process.
The Left loves to say silence is violence, but as events horrifyingly demonstrate, it is articulated wrongthink that is punished with violence. The only time authoritarians tell you to be quiet is when someone is listening, and lawmakers across the nation are. I will not be intimidated into silence. I might actually get louder.
Amen Scott, for years all that was wanted was tolerance for homosexuality. Then it wasn’t enough – we all had to embrace deviance – and pure evil. We’ve all had enough of the madness.
Those militant deviants never really wanted just tolerance – they wanted absolure obedience.
They lied as a necessary adjunct required to carry their depravity to a further level.
Remember that B. Hussein lied about queer marriage in his 1st term. No one, especially his supporters, were surprised when he came out for gay marriage just before reelection.

They never wanted tolerance, the rest of us could see that. That’s why we opposed them at the time. If you fell for their lies, the problem is you.
Trust your instincts. When something doesn’t feel right, it’s not right. Zero chance this was a coincidence. Christianity and this ideology are incompatible. Associating with them is dangerous, because crazy people are dangerous, always.
Agreed. Simply following the Golden Rule is not enough for Leftists/Trans types. It’s obey or else.
I fear we are about to learn why the Left has been trying to disarm us for decades. Be prepared, be observant, be level headed and above all trust your instincts.
I don’t know why the “trans community” blames opposition to its platform on Christianity. I’m Jewish, not overly religious, and I believe the trans platform should be opposed tooth and nail. It is based on a lie, irrational, dishonest, and destructive. Moreover, the eventual end product seems to result in doctors betraying their profession. No doctor, I assume (correctly, I hope), would treat a patient suffering from Body Identity Integrity Disorder (BIID) by amputating a healthy limb or severing a functioning spinal cord, Yet our society seems largely comfortable with allowing doctors to surgically mutilate patients suffering from a different body dysomorphic disorder. Why not give “disability affirming” surgery in the former since “gender affirming” (see, gender denying) surgery is freely given in the case of the latter. Simply, you don’t have to be a Christian to know this is nuts.
The country has more Christians so the target for these trans extremists is bigger. I, too, am not Christian and am horrified by this trans craze that ruins children’s lives through brainwashing and mutilation. And by the typical leftist bullying if you disagree with them.
As a Jewish person, I am no stranger to hate and bullying from many directions. Leftist threats and bullying may be new to Christian’s. Perhaps some Christian’s sects may reassess their approaches to others. Now that they’ve joined Jews as targets of dogmatic extremists threatening and acting out such violence.

As crazy as that might have sounded just a few years ago, I agree. A virulent anti-Christian sentiment seems to be growing just beneath the surface of polite society, and the response to the Nashville shootings shows that it is intensifying. In the immediate aftermath of that event, the media spin had actually reversed the actual roles of victim and victimizer, making Christians the evildoers and trans people the victims. That speaks of a malevolent hatred that we might expect to emerge from the shadows sooner than we might think. The left’s history of anti-Christian violence and persecution over the last 100 years gives us little reason to think it can’t happen again, even in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

I can have a dog and after a while decide to rename him with a cat’s name, and constantly refer to the dog as a cat, and work hard at conjuring up the rationale that my former dog s really a cat. I will find my “friends” falling into one of two categories. First category is “this guy is UTS, that critter he has is, was, always has ben wand will ever BE a dog”. Secnd category, “hey friend, cool cat you have there, Im so glad you finally got smart and got a cat”.
Change “my son” for “my dog”, and change “my daughter” for”my cat”. Anyone NOT calling this insanity is… well, here’s the truth, insane.
Personally I REFUSE to support anyone else’s delusion or psychosis.
I’d tell them what church I go to, and even give them directions. My Baptist minister hunts, like most of the men at my church, many of whom are Veterans, and we have a wild game dinner every year. They might kill a few, before we realized what was happening, but they wouldn’t last long enough for the cops to get there. They probably wouldn’t even make it into the church.
They claim we have a phobia, a mental illness, because we disagree with or disapprove of playing along with their delusional mental illness.
They claim we hate, when they are overwhelmingly the ones who physically assault people who exercise their right to verbally disagree with, or disapprove of them.
They claim we are committing genocide, when they are the ones that insist on a right to remove even childrens’ ability to ever reproduce.
They’re playing with fire, but then, they are by definition, mental cases.
Know the other thing that terrifies the authoritarian left? A well-armed and angry populace that refuses to be intimidated.
