Every time Senator Elizabeth Warren releases another 5-year-plan, somebody gets shot in Baltimore. And the release of her latest pro-crime plan was no different.
Police are investigating a homicide in Southwest Baltimore late Sunday evening.
At around 11:28 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 2400 block of Washington Boulevard where they found an unidentified man suffering from gunshot wounds.
He died from his injuries, police said.
Homicide detectives were summoned to the location and assumed control of the investigation.
Shortly after, a 19-year-old requested a medic in the 2200 block of Washington Boulevard. He had a gunshot wound to the groin.
This was the perfect time for Warren to release her new pro-crime plan. Or, as she calls it, Rethinking Public Safety to Reduce Mass Incarceration.
The priority is reducing incarceration. Public safety has to be rethought as collateral damage of the plan to free killers, muggers and rapists.
Also known as the new Democrat base.
Warren’s pro-crime proposals go after mandatory minimums and mandates to have criminals actually serve the sentences they’re sentenced to. These were efforts to rein in the revolving door in which repeat offenders went in and out. A similar revolving door recently led to the stabbing deaths of 4 in California.
But Warren isn’t worried about the consequences of her pro-crime proposals. Unlike its likely victims, she has protection. And expects to have dedicated teams of secret service personnel.
And then there’s this pro-crime gem.
Raise the age for criminal liability. We know that cognition and decision-making skills continue to develop beyond the teenage years. For that reason, many states have raised the age of adult criminal liability to at least 17, or granted additional discretion to prosecutors when charging offenders between the ages of 16 and 18. The federal government should do the same — raising the age of adult criminal liability to 18, eliminating life-without-parole sentences for minors, and diverting young adult offenders into rehabilitative programs wherever possible.
So a 17-year-old killer should get a pass. After all his “decision-making skills”, much like those of Warren voters, haven’t fully developed.
Warren’s raft of pro-crime proposals would fill the streets of every city with killers, muggers and rapists, dismantling local law enforcement, federalizing it, and crippling the ability of individuals to protect their own homes through gun control, while turning every city into The Purge.
But Warren will have her own security.
