Forget the 1%. The real action is in the 0,000001%. That’s the demographic of black Buttigieg supporters.
Normally local politicians can at least manage to enlist the politicians they know and have worked with in their hometown. But, nope.
South Bend, Ind., Councilman Oliver Davis, the longest-serving African American man on the city’s Common Council, has endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden over his town’s mayor, 2020 candidate Pete Buttigieg.
“For us, this has been a consistent issue that has not gone away,” Davis said.
Davis is vice president of the nine-member Common Council was a part of it for the duration of Buttigieg’s time as mayor of South Bend.
In response to Davis’ endorsement of his opponent, Buttigieg on Friday said he respects “him coming from a different place politically.”
Now black Democrat leaders tend to be locked up by the establishment. That’s why Hillary had the endorsements over Obama. But it’s truly pathetic that Buttigieg is doing this badly, and that the Democrats keep lying to themselves and to everyone else about why he’s doing this badly.
