For the first time, Joe Biden was publicly accused of the sort of behavior he’s been caught engaging in on photos and on video.
The accuser, Lucy Flores, was a former Dem nominee for Lt. Gov, closely tied to Our Revolution, the Bernie Sanders machine. Some media Bidenites are highlighting this.
But there’s one problem.
Flores dumped Team Bernie.
Velasquez’s resignation came a month after the departure of Lucy Flores, the group’s former political director, who left after claiming the group ignored Latino issues, the outlet reported. Insiders have labeled these issues as “growing pains” in the transition from presidential campaign to grass-roots organization.
Our Revolution was formed by Sanders’ top campaign workers after his 2016 presidential primary loss, in a bid to keep his grass-roots army ready for a potential 2020 presidential bid, according to Politico.
A New York Times article from last December noted that Flores wasn’t endorsing Bernie.
“It’s not a given that I’m going to support Bernie just because I did before,” said Lucy Flores, a former Nevada assemblywoman. “There are going to be plenty of people to look at and to listen to. I’m currently open at this point, and I think the majority of people are.”
Has Flores gotten on board with somebody else’s machine? Probably.
Which 2020er would have an interest in shiving both Bernie and Biden? Elizabeth Warren. And Warren was the first to jump on the Biden accusation.
That doesn’t mean the accusation is false. There are no shortage of videos of Biden doing this sort of thing.
