Remember Ford’s line about quality being job 1? At FEMA, Equity is job 1.
After equity comes ‘climate resilience’ and only in third place is to ‘Promote and Sustain a Ready FEMA and Prepared Nation’ which can mean (if you’re generous and naive) doing its actual job.
But first comes FEMA’s primary mission to ‘Instill Equity as a Foundation of Emergency Management’.
And that’s why the disaster in North Carolina is playing out the way that it is. I’ll have more on that in my article ‘FEMA’s DEI Crippled Hurricane Helene Response’.
Disaster response is not FEMA’s top job. Like every federal agency in the Biden-Harris administration, its first job is equity. The result is a border that can’t be secured, a military that can’t win wars and a disaster response agency that can’t respond to disasters.
I’m guessing that right now FEMA is busy giving grants to Catholic Charities figuring out how to replace all the people that lost their homes and farms with Hamas and Hezbollah “refugees”, maybe some Sinoloa Cartel members for the sake of diversity.

I guess this means to reduce everyone in the whole world (except the social elites) to the same level of misery! Since there are people somewhere in the world without power this means they just don’t worry about AMERCIANS citizens. Our federal government has proven incapable of helping our own citizens–but very capable of helping OTHER countries with billions of dollars.
I say this because there is the 101st Air Assault division located on the Kentucky/Tennessee border that LIVES out of helicopters!!! There is also the 82d Airborne division stationed at Ft Bragg/Fayetteville, NC that could help. Also stationed there is an Engineer Brigade with a Panel Bridge Company, AND a Support Brigade for the XVIII Airborne Corps!!! I really haven’t been to Ft Bragg recently but I know they have beaucoup helicopters there!
This indicates that this is either due to incompetence or POLITICAL intrigue!!! With two divisions and at least two brigades within range there is no excuse!!!
Good points, but it has been a while. Dems renamed Fort Bragg, ‘Fort Liberty’ in May 2022. They struck the names of all posts named after Confederates.
Joe said they sent all they have, though clearly they have not. That the area in NC hardest hit is solid Republican, might explain their lack of concern. Dems are making a habit of that. The msm certainly won’t call them on it.
This hurricane could cause a financial crisis in the near future. What if the people who lost their homes and businesses decide to just leave and give the property back to the banks holding their mortgages. It will be interesting to see what the entire loss will be in dollars, a few weeks from now. Remember, Hurricane Katrina cost over 100 billion dollars. What will the impact be on Insurance companies and banks?
