If Biden expected to claim credit for the more limited defeats that the Democrats suffered, his party is not about to let him get away with it, leading to these humiliating Politico reports.
In Chicago, Democrats privately pushed back against the president holding a political rally in the final days of the campaign. Instead, they agreed to have Biden help raise money for two House members and hold an official event the next day.
That’s bad, but this is worse.
Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) made clear to the White House early on to keep Biden at bay, and POLITICO reported Wednesday that Senate candidate John Fetterman of Pennsylvania also asked him to stay away. Biden came anyway, and Fetterman won the race.
I understand not wanting Biden to show up in Arizona or Pennsylvania, but the Fetterman campaign, fronted by a zombie, asked Biden not to come, and he showed up unwanted, accounting at least partly for the very awkward vibes that most people noticed in that appearance.
It may not have been a case of Biden avoiding Fetterman… but Fetterman avoiding Biden.
Even the worst Dem on the ticket running saw Biden as electoral poison. And yet, since Dems didn’t completely faceplant, Biden is now harder to get rid of.

He certainly proved himself to be less electorally poisonous than Trump. I notice that very crucial fact is missing from your analysis.

You presume you are referring to a fact, sir.
