California is moving to pass a “caste discrimination” bill. Strangest of all is that the bill comes from Sen. Aisha Wahab, the first Muslim and Afghan in the California State Senate.
After backlash from Hindus over a bill that was very clearly targeting them, Sen. Wahab and her political allies claimed that she was facing Islamophobia and death threats from “extremists”.
Time Magazine sent a Muslim journalist to interview Wahab about the Islamophobia she was suffering from.
And as the anti-Hindu bill moves closer to becoming law, the media has doubled down on this approach along with refusing to notice the obvious.
The affair has had repercussions for Wahab in her heavily South Asian district. It’s become a bitter lesson in the pitfalls of wading into nuanced cultural issues in an ever-more diverse nation.
Wahab, a progressive tapped by Newsom to highlight his signature gun control effort, appeared to be caught off guard by the vitriolic response to what she views as a straightforward issue.
“This is a civil rights bill,” she said in an interview. “It’s very simple. We’re trying to protect people.”
A Muslim legislator pushing a bill aimed at a practice that is stereotypically (and wrongly) associated with Hindus (in fact there’s caste discrimination in Pakistan as well and de facto in her own native Afghanistan) when Muslims and Hindus have a long history of conflict is not innocent. And it makes no particular sense to fail to mention the elephant in the room.
Even assuming Wahab was actually innocently unaware that there has been a longstanding conflict between Muslims and Hindus, and that Hindus in her district and around the world would feel attacked by this move, the media should have at least asked her about it instead of buying her act.
Now Democrats have let themselves be dragged into Islamic attacks on Jews and Hindus.
At some point, they may wonder if it’s worth it.
Sen. Wahab launched a 2020 congressional campaign for Rep. Eric Swalwell’s seat. So she would like to be in Congress which means her particular issues with Hindus, much like Rep. Ilhan Omar’s issues with Jews and Hindus, will likely be a national issue for her party as well.
As long as you’re a Democrat, and ESPECIALLY if you’re a muslim Democrat, it’s perfectly acceptable behavior to stigmatize other religious faiths or beliefs in 2023. As a Christian (and to quote John McLane from ‘Die Hard’), I would say to California Hindus, “Welcome to the party, pal!”
Whites will be a minority when the 2030 census is taken. I can see it all now, the year is 2060 AD, America has elected its first Afghan as President of America. His first priority is to bring more Afghans to America.

They’re attacking Hindus under no disguise whatsoever over there. Why the California legislature should meddle in this issue while their state is awash in its own (mostly self-created) problems is beyond comprehension.
Except to say, “they will be coming after you next.” We are in big trouble. It doesn’t look like it will end well for us.

Such a contemptible disgrace, to see these brazen Muslim supremacists and bigots, such as the vile, evil and ugly (within and without) Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar and Keith “Hakim” Ellison — among many others — be welcomed by the Party and granted deference and legitimacy by a fawning, obsequious and water-carrying mainstream media.
The 10th Senatorial district has the largest Afghani population in the developed world, about 50,000 people. The same district has almost 200,000 Indians–both Hindu and Sikh. Indians are a generally tolerant and friendly people–and that does them credit–but they are also often unserious and easily lead people. (Many, maybe most, Indian-Americans started life as Congress Party Indians). They vote for Swalwell and they vote for their fellow Indian Ro Khanna. They could have organized and kept this hussy out of office; they did not. They will have to get serious and accept that there are people in America who dont like them, their religion and their home country and who will organize against the aforementioned. The tiny numbers of Jews in the 10th district (mostly Israeli emigres, BTW) can help out, but Indians will have to get serious or face the Islamic music.
So, just to be clear, you are in favor of caste-based discrimination? Have you read the actual bill that Wahab is trying to pass? Do you think it might make sense to encourage your readers to read the actual bill before you prod them into hate?
That is a point. I have not read it and probably won’t. The thing is, the muzzies have their own caste system: women are worth half a man’s worth, Jews, Christians, Hindus, and everyone else who are not muzz are second class citizens who are required to pay a special tax, jizya, as well as other things. These people were brought in deliberately to create division and mess up society. They are raw unadulterated muzz. They have 4 types of lying and deception they practice on their enemies. The government shouldn’t legislate anything regarding religion. Do you see anyone condemning clitoridectomy so often practiced by Muslims? Or Dhimitude?

Do Hindus still back the caste system as an unquestioning part of their faith? Does Ganesha transform from an elephant to our largest land mammal say the bison/buffalo when Indians migrate?
Is it really an attack? I thought southern US slavery was bad until I started reading about the caste system. It was a true horror in comparison.
