The Democrat party’s ‘Jewish’ cutouts have been frantically pushing the same fake polls claiming that the vast majority of Jews are voting for Kamala. (And some Jewish and non-Jewish conservatives eagerly pick up on them and refuse to hear anything different because they fit their preconceptions.) The actual situation on the ground is rather different.
Jews are a fairly small population and because much of the Jewish community is concentrated in New York, the national impact of their votes is limited. (Though state polling showed Trump beating Kamala among New York Jews.)
Florida however is another matter. There is a large Jewish population in Florida. And it’s growing more conservative. Trump may have won it in 2020.
And while the national Dems usually engage in happy talk about the Jewish vote, Florida Dem Chairwoman Nikki Fried is warning that the situation is bad.
“Nikki Fried, the Jewish chairwoman of the Florida Democratic Party, told Jewish canvassers in her state that the party was losing Jewish voters because of the robust Republican response to pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses.
Fried said that, “what has happened since then in American politics has made a lot of our Jewish brothers and sisters start to question the Democratic Party.”
Fried said doubts about Democrats have spread beyond “Republican Jewish friends” who have historically been the “outliers” in a constituency that has long been reliably Democratic.
That breaks a major firewall within the Dems where a core part of the narrative is insisting that Jewish Republicans can only ever be a fringe.
“I hear a lot about the Squad,” she said, referring to a small grouping of progressive Democrats who are stridently critical of Israel. “I hear a lot about Kamala Harris’s policies, you know, what Joe Biden has or has not done.”
Fried said Jewish Democrats, when they canvass Jewish voters, are encountering misinformation and belief in wild rumors, such as that Harris has a relationship with Iran’s leadership.
And I give Fried credit for at least admitting that the Biden-Harris administration was not there.
Fried said she raised the campus issue with Harris when President Joe Biden was still the nominee and she had a meeting with Harris in Jacksonville, telling the vice president that Jews felt ignored by the Biden administration.
As usual, the Biden-Harris response was a speech or some remarks, but no meaningful action.
Compare that to Gov. Ron DeSantis…
Some right-leaning Jews support Donald Trump, the former president and Republican candidate, because of his record on Israel. But Fried said part of what is turning the state’s Jews toward Republicans seems to be how the Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, handled campus protests that roiled the nation last spring, dismantling pro-Palestinian encampments and threatening to expel protest leaders. (DeSantis has taken a generally heavy hand to higher education in the state, targeting the teaching of progressive ideals at public universities.)
“You hear, of course, you heard during the campus protests, ‘Oh, thank God Ron DeSantis was governor,’” she said. “I mean, how many times have each of us probably heard that over the course of the last year? And so we are losing some of our Jewish voters.”
Actions really matter more than words. Israel policy feels far away for a lot of American Jews, but mobs attacking them on campuses and in the streets show pretty clear the differences between parties.
Democrats are beginning to admit they have a Jewish problem.

DeSantis is fantastic, and gets better with every news cycle.
After four more with Trump, we need eight years of DeSantis, followed by eight years of Vance, or vice versa.
Twenty years to destroy every last vestige of progressive scum.

The Dems deserve to have a “Jewish problem” as well as a Catholic problem. The Dems showed no backbone in defending Jews who were assaulted on campus or on the streets and that putz Schumer wastes his time attacking Bibi Netanyahu instead of trying to help Israel defeat Hamas and Hezzbolah. Schumer is the court Jew. Nobody respects him. Schumer is the problem as is Nadler – or should I call him Wadler?

DeSantis is really the only candidate who may have gotten things done that are needed to save this nation.
Trump was cowed and only cared about getting a cult following. Other conservatives were not supposed to get too close to the sun. He kept none of his promises on immigration and is fine with rovian control and the deep state, even when it is dangerous to him . Recently said he will work with Wray and appointed rovian whatley to head RNC who made certain that important election lawsuits were not filed.

DeSantis is a bushie and Wall Street backed Republican so one has to tread lightly. He had Florida’s Sunshine Law amended to where he didn’t have to resign in order to run for President. He has done nothing about the state’s use of election voting machines. He appointed Dave Kerner, a Palm Beach democrat, as Executive Director of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, which oversees driver licensing. A democrat overseeing driver licensing with illegal immigrants flooding the country and state. Florida has some of the highest property insurance in the country and he has done nothing to alleviate or fix it.
DeSantis is owned by big money donors, i.e. Ken Griffin.
He is a career government worker and politician, the same type that has gotten us in the mess we are in regardless of party.
He may be a future candidate to watch but his track record reeks of being a corporatist supported Bush backed republican.

It gets frustrating waiting for people who’s existence is endangered continue to vote for their own oppression. It is demoralizing not to see any change plus Trump is running a really dumb campaign being that he let them frame everything. There should have been a mass exodus from most demographics and not just Jews.
I don’t think there is. NYC, NY Trump has picked up only 10% and still can’t breach a measly 30% polling in the city. It’s less than a 5% gain for any group. The one group who may nationwide break with the dims are Hispanics.

Hey Kathy Hochul- lousy governor of New York – why don’t you do anything to protect pro israel students on campus or in the streets?

Trump began the bridge building 8 years ago and will add additional planks in a few days. His political followers are getting in line. Forget all the BS and keep it simple.

I think that any Jew who votes for Kamala must be insane or hate Israel or both. I had a friend, now a blessed memory, who was well connected with Jewish Democrats in 2008. She assured me with 100% confidence that Obama was “down” with Israel. How did that work out? No matter that Democratic Israel supporters are somehow able to avert their eyes, the Democratic Party has institutionally turned against Jews and against Israel as a result of its identitarian politics coupled with Marxist “critical” analysis that considers successful groups as oppressors and less successful groups as oppressed. Until that fever breaks, Jews should abandon the party on a wholesale basis.

“robust Republican response to pro-Palestinian protests”
That’s what’s needed. The mistake with BLM protests was a lack of a robust response. I think that’s also correct in theory.

Is it any wonder that Jews who fled New York for Florida are realizing how good they have it without Dirtbagocrats creeping all around? They have a great Governor, swimming pools and get to wear shorts all year ’round. I don’t think they miss Kathy Ho-chul and there are plenty of bagels and lox in FL. Manischewitz, too. And all the fishing a retired guy could hope for.
Why have a bad attitude when you live in a nice place? And they don’t have to worry about being attacked by islamopithecines and the usual suspects if they walk down the streets they live on.
