Perhaps Joint Chiefs chairman, Gen. Mark Milley once had a hope of winning the Medal of Honor or winning a war, but those dreams are long dead. He’ll settle for leaving office and beginning a lucrative career of putting his military experience to use for defense contractors, foreign governments or whoever.
Speaking of foreign governments, considering his French-like military track record, he’s getting a Medal of Honor from the French.
French President Emmanuel Macron awarded France’s highest medal of honor to the U.S. Joint Chiefs chairman, Gen. Mark Milley…
Macron awarded Milley the order of Commander of the Legion of Honor at a closed ceremony at the Élysée, the presidential palace. The medal was created by French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802. It is awarded to about 2,000 citizens and about 300 foreigners each year for defense of French values.
Surrender and appeasement? At least there’s one country that honors that.
Mark Twain once joked that every waiter in France had the Légion d’Honneur. Gen. Milley gets to have his own addition to his potato salad.
Other recipients of the Légion d’Honneur include Vladimir Putin, Jeff Bezos, Jesse Jackson, Jerry Lewis, and Harvey Weinstein so… Gen. Milley is in good company?
You can buy a used one for around $200 bucks so if Gen. Milley ever needs to buy a really nice bottle of wine in Paris, he can cash it out.
Better men have done it. Much better men. So Gen. Milley will just probably put it on a shelf and in his bio.

She is one of the worst officers in American history

Milley and his team is helping the frogs to reengineer their tanks reverse gears that will enable them to get away from the battlefield move quickly.
CowboyUp says
That’s standard on French tanks, has been since WW2.
Jeff Bargholz says
She is detestable, isn’t she? An embarrassment to our country. I hate her.
STJOHNOFGRAFTON says
I’m insulted! C’est fin! Incroyable, Légion d’Honneur to that ponce. Sapristi! In disgust I’m throwing mine in the Seine.
Chief Mac says
It will bounce back

French values. Oh my. I’ve been trying to understand French strategy and tactics. They actually had better ships than the British, even though the British navy always won. I got a book from the 1700s on French naval stuff, and it was profoundly mathematical, analyzing wind, sails, manoeuvres, etc. The British however, emphasized the fighting element, even with inferior equipment.
I learned a little about Napoleon’s strategy and tactics from reading Wellington’s campaigns. I really like Wellington’s methods.
The Germans back in those days despised the French, for example, when overrunning French military camps they found lots of perfume. But recently I realized that it was useful to cover up the smell 🙂

”Napoleon’s strategy”
Ive read a bit on his strategies, forced marches and such, I kind of think that maybe he was lucky as well.
That is lucky in the sense that the rest of the world had an even sorrier bunch of army’s than he did.
This fact was as big a help as his strategies—possibly?
But on miley, she is the worst example of a leader in the history of this country. Put a dress on the bastard.
CowboyUp says
The British had better officers, training and discipline. The human element. The French did have better ships, but they couldn’t get as much out of them, or their men. I’ve always had an interest in the days of sail and there are some great resources online, with scans of the old tables, instructions, tasks, and tests.

Thanks Cowboy!!!

Possibly an accomplished medium can be engaged to contact General Patton on the other side to come and torment Milley in his dreams every night until he goes insane from the nightmare’s and commits suicide.
Intrepid says
French values…..like endless trench warfare, and surrender.
Onzeur Trante says
Dis donc! What French values, for example?
Jeff Bargholz says
A French Medal of Honor for Genital Milley? someone should shove it up his ass where it belongs. I’m sure he would enjoy that.
Stephen Triesch says
What are “French values,” and how has Milley defended them? The list of previous winners doesn’t speak well for the committee who awards this metal.
Mo de Profit says
Waving white flags is one value, no doubt that changes to rainbow flags today.
Jasonn says
Birds of a feather, etc.
Judith says
Maybe Millie has made a preemptive call to some enemy of France. Medal-worthy for sure.
Fred says
France is a dying country. Does anyone really care if Mark Milley gets a medal?
CowboyUp says
Milley must be getting it for the Afghanistan bugout. 2300 people a year, eh? Talk about damning with faint praise, lol. I wonder how many boxes of crackerjacks I have to buy for a sure chance of getting one?
