Last November, Dutch voters rallied for Geert Wilders. The PVV party became the largest party in the Dutch parliament. Normally that should have meant that Wilders, who has spoken out against Islamization and globalization, should have been on track to become prime minister. But after quite a few months of negotiation, there will be a coalition government. Wilders isn’t being allowed to be PM but he has announced a tough asylum policy and an end to the EU’s ‘green’ war on farmers.
And the EU, the media and the rest of the machine will do everything possible to stop it.
Dutch voters have come out over and over again against an invasion of their country.
According to November exit poll data, men and women, urban and rural, old and young voted for the far-right party.
In parts of the Netherlands, such as the northeast, the previous election — in which, due to pandemic precautions, 70-plus voters could cast their ballot by post — revealed a generational gap between older voters, who still backed traditional parties, and younger voters, who supported Wilders more often. “The children of PVDA-ers [Labor Party] have become PVV-ers,” said De Voogd, referring to the Freedom Party by its Dutch acronym.
As well as luring voters away from other parties, the Freedom Party tapped into a major new voter potential: Non-voters. Dutch voter analysis has shown that Wilders’ second-largest source of new votes — about 11 percent — had come from people who had abstained in 2021.
And this is the first time there’s a government that may actually act.
The Netherlands has today said it will opt out of European Union rules and bring in its ‘strictest-ever’ asylum policy following Geert Wilders’ shock election victory.
The parties said they would file a request to the European Commission for an opt-out on European asylum policy ‘as soon as possible’. People without a valid residence permit will be deported ‘by force if necessary,’ said the report.
Offshore gas production in the North Sea would be increased, while the government would continue with plans to build four nuclear reactors in the coming decade.
Plans will be financed with 14 billion euros in spending cuts until 2028, including cuts of 2.5 billions euros to development aid, a billion euros on government salaries and 100 million euros on the public broadcaster’s budget.
Now the war will truly begin.

We support Wilders. He is patriot and one of the good guys against the craziness of this world.
JL says
Would love to see Trump adopt Wilders’ plan of action:
1. Immigration reform including deportations of illegals
2. Drill baby drill
3. New nuclear power plants
4. Significant spending cuts on foreign aid, govt salaries and public broadcasting
mike says
I wish Trump would support over all “significant” spending cuts. He hasn’t said a word about that.
When asked what Trump would do about inflation, he said he’d drill more. While that’s important, It’s a drop in the bucket compared to the real problem, Government spending.
I’m not sure Trump understands that. You might say he does, but then why is he silent on the matter?
Jeff Bargholz says
Trump talks about wasteful government spending all the time. Are you deranged or just a liar?
mike says
He talks about “Wasteful” spending. All politicians promise to cut waste. We eventually need to actually cut or eliminate government programs. Cut overall spending. Many politicians promise to cut waste, just to spend the money elsewhere. There is a big difference there.
I don’t think cutting the overall size of the federal gov is even on Trumps radar.
Some politicians promise cuts in the size of gov, but never follow thru. Trump doesn’t even mention it and you believe he’ll actually push for cuts when he is elected? Congress sure won’t pass major cuts for him to sign. He will need to push congress himself.
So no, I’m not deranged or a liar, I’m just objective. You are delusional though if you think Trump would even try to reign in big government. Hope I’m wrong.
Domenic Pepe says
Mike ….
You are correct about cutting government spending and programs drastically.
But the die is now cast.
With 35 Trillion in debt, America has no choice but to inflate its way out of the situation.
Cutting government programs and spending is now considered suicide for the political party that tries it.
So, just as the USA eliminated the Vietnam War debt with the inflation of the 1970’s,
so will the elite political powers that be inflate their way out of the 35 trillion debt we have now.
Make no mistake about it. Inflation is the policy, and the decision is made.
Watch the price of gold for confirmation.
Jeff Bargholz says
WTF? Trump reduced the spending of countless government agencies when he was President.
mike says
Cutting gov salaries and public broadcasting is peanuts compared to the overall federal budget. We need government programs eliminated altogether.
I highly doubt that is even on Trumps radar.
Domenic Pepe says
I hope the Netherlands can do it …. deport the illegal aliens and Islamic swine.
They also need to make marijuana and many other drugs illegal.
Not making Wilders prime minister and head of the government shows the country’s woke leftist depraved psychopathic globalist Islamic promoters are still in control.. Too bad.
mike says
I strongly disagree with you on the drug matter. A free country should never prosecute people for consensual (Victimless) crimes.
Why do you support a big government nanny state? Why do you hate freedom so much? Who made you God to tell people what they can or cannot take into their own bodies.
Good for the Netherlands for essentially decriminalizing all drug use. Though I’d go a step further and fully legalize all recreational drugs. Here in the US, we should end drug prohibition yesterday, especially at the federal level.
Domenic Pepe says
Mike …. here are some specifics to chew on.
Open and massive and irresponsible illegal drug use can and does destroy people and nations and societies and cultures.
I need only cite the example of China and the British East India Company foisting opium on the Chinese people.
Now in America, Mexican manufactured fentanyl is murdering more than 100,000 US citizens every year, mostly young people.
Mexico is the enemy of America and US citizens, and Mexican president Obrador is a mass murderer of US citizens.
Drugs absolutely corrupt people individually and collectively as well as entire nations and societies.
So I repeat … Mexico is the enemy of America and US citizens.
Mexico is invading America with hordes of illegal aliens,
and Mexico is murdering 100,000 US citizens every year.
Mexico has declared war on America and US citizens.
Where are the US political and elite leaders on this matter ?
Why are they not defending America and her flesh and blood citizens
against the real flesh and blood Mexican enemy?
They are nowhere to be found. What a betrayal of America and US citizens.
What a disgrace …. both the GOP and the depraved psychopathic berserk democrat party
are derelict in their duties and oaths to protect defend and preserve …..
mike says
You said it yourself. “Illegal drug use” is killing people and harms societies. Key word illegal.
Those 100K dead, even assuming that number is accurate, is mostly due to people taking substances made “illegally” that are laced with fentanyl without their knowledge. If recreational drugs were made legally, we wouldn’t have that problem.
And no society has been destroyed as you say by legalizing all drugs.
Massive drug use has not occured due to decriminalization. The wildest estimates have drug use increase by less than 25 percent. A very small price to pay considering the havoc this insane war on drugs causes our nation. And every one of those extra drug users, took the drugs voluntarily. And most reports I could find, even show O”D deaths are actually down after decriminalization.
What do you hope to accomplish by keeping this idiotic war on drugs going? Are you hoping one day our nation turns into a pristine drug free utopia, where we can credit prohibition?
Jeff Bargholz says
Marijuana is just a plant and should be legal in all fifty states. So should peyote, shrooms and other natural substances, like San Pedro cactus, which few people know is a hallucinogen when ingested. It’s a garden ornament here in California.

Jeff Bargholz says
Is it just me or does Geert Wilders look like an old SCTV or SNL character.?
david ervin says
So, I read somewhere that, last year, there were 70,000-100,000 Americans killed by drug overdoses. Where are the demonstrators from the 60’s decrying the 60,000 lost in a foreign war?
I live in Iowa, and even here there are tent encampments and people peddling bikes pulling trailers. In my limited scope of friends I know of three families that have lost one of their members; one family lost both their children. The lost are still alive, if it can be called such. Drug zombies might be a better term.
These are good, intact, families, with both parents in the homes. Church going families; real church goers, not the Sunday only types, so don’t tell me about parenting.
We’ve forfeited the war on drugs…a war we never really fought…we just showed up and retreated. But what about REHAB? It’s not working is it? The families I know have gone through it so many times they probably have gift cards or green stamps.
The drug war was, and is, a war against our country and our liberties. As was said a couple of times: “Our Republic will only work for a civil people.” And a country soaked in drugs can never be civil; and that’s the point.
Jeff Bargholz says
Thank the Alzheimer Joe and his handlers for the Fentanyl crisis.
mike says
We could end the Fentanyl crises tommorow if we just legalize all drugs. If people could buy legal and safely manufactured recreational drugs, they wouldn’t be laced with substances like fentanyl and countless lives would be saved.
End the drug war yesterday!
david ervin says
The problem with drugs isn’t their random purity, it’s that they are drugs taken for the wrong purpose. There is no drug company, govn. agency, or civil authority that would put their signature to a recreational drug to be supplied legally for random uses by random people. The lawsuits would never end…think of thalidomide, think of the young lady, teen, on her way to college. For her last party at home she sought and received a perfectly fine dose of whatever drug she sought…it killed her, and the kid that sold her the drugs went to prison. The 70K to 100K people that die every year aren’t all killed by adulterated/impure drugs…they mis-administer because they have no idea what they are doing.
The cliché is: For every complex problem there is a simple answer that is wrong. To hold to a failed idea against mounting evidence is foolhardy (legal recreational drugs are killing our people in mounting numbers in every jurisdiction where the drugs are legalized). To demand a libertarian response to drugs is to destroy the civil basis for every other liberty.
Jeff Bargholz says
Yeah but no, the drug cartels would never go along with that.
Marijuana is legal here in California but the black market far outstrips the legal one.
mike says
The difference is that those 100K that die of overdoses did it to themselves. We should have sympathy for them and their families. But it’s a completely different matter than dying in an unjust war ( If it actually is and unjust war. I believe most conflicts we got involved in were actually just) .
I strongly disagree. We should legalize all drugs as it is a consensual crime. You talk about civility? A free and civil country should never lock people up for consensual crimes.
Who made you God to tell people what they can or can’t take into their own bodies. We conservatives should be for freedom, not using the state to run peoples lives.
mike says
We need to end the drug war yesterday! This is supposedly the land of the free. All recreational drugs should be legal.
Why do you hate freedom so much? Why do you want to run peoples lives for them? Why are you such an authoritarian? Have you ever heard of the concept of “live and let live” ?

Great news for the Dutch people. Now, if we could only get several other European nations to follow their policies regarding immigration and leaving the EU for good. Hopefully, Germany and Austria are next.
