Prager put the death of a pet into perspective. I really wish that more people could wrap their heads around the place that there pets should have in the home. It is a sickness in the brain to put animals above humans, even though many humans do not ”deserve” a position above an animal, still they get it.
I was waiting on Prager to say something typical and stupid about the death of his dog, Im sorry for him that he lost his companion, but still glad to see that he knows where that emotion belongs.

Two different contexts. Two different categories. Your pet isn’t just an animal, it’s your pet. Pet and animal are two different things.
Secondly, which human are we talking about? Hitler, Stalin, Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer?
It is certainly immoral, even evil, to save Ted Bundy and let your beloved dog die if your choice is saving Bundy or saving your dog.
Intrepid says
My god, you are a blithering idiot. And it’s clear you don’t own a dog.
THX 1138 says
Do you save your dog or a stranger?
If you know nothing whatsoever about the stranger, you save your dog.
What is the crucial difference between your pet and the stranger that altruism demands that you sacrifice? Your love for your pet, the crucial importance that your pet has to you, that’s what altruism is demanding that you ignore, evade, destroy, sacrifice — and that is evil.
“The Bible says men are created in the image of God but not animals.”
So, sacrifice your beloved pet to God? What is the crucial difference between your pet and the stranger; that you know and love your pet, and you don’t know or love the stranger. So even if the stranger is a mass murderer he is allegedly made in the image of God, so let your dog die, sacrifice that which you love to that which you don’t.
As Nancy Pelosi said, “Now, faith is a gift, not everyone has it. Sometimes people say to me, ‘How come you believe this or that.’ I say, ‘Well, I have the gift of faith.’ And that gift of faith tells us that we’re all God’s children, that we’re made in the image and likeness of God, and there’s a spark of divinity in every person that we have to respect, including in ourselves that we have to act upon.”
Yes, there’s a spark of divinity in every person — except when there isn’t.
Intrepid says
My God, a double whammy!, You truly are a blithering idiot. And it’s clear you don’t own a dog. And never have.
And if it’s a choice between you and my dog, I will choose my dog. Without hesitatio.!
There is definitely no spark of divinity in you
RS says
We who love our pets can sympathize, they are all one of a kind, unique in every way. We remember our best friends with admiration, who are really part of our families.
