Governor Ron DeSantis announced that, after seeing the disgraceful photos of National Guard soldiers being quartered in a parking garage because they offended a Democrat staffer, that the Florida National Guard members are coming home.
“This is a half-cocked mission at this point and I think the appropriate thing is to bring them home,” Governor DeSantis announced on Twitter.
“These folks are soldiers; they served our country all around the world; they serve our State of Florida after natural disasters. They are serving right now helping with vaccinating senior citizens and they have been on the front lines of the COVID fight,” Governor DeSantis also said. “They are soldiers, not Nancy Pelosi’s servants.”
“This is a half-cocked mission at this point, and I think the appropriate thing is to bring them home.”
Governor Abbott of Texas, and a number of other Republican governors are also moving to end the D.C. occupation and bring the troops home.
“These are men and women who should be respected and not denigrated,” Governor Abbott said. “These are men and women who have served in Afghanistan and overseas and yet they are forced to sleep in a parking garage.”
As the Democrats have made it clear that they intend to continue this indefinite military occupation of D.C., while abusing service members, people should be asking their governors when they intend to bring all the troops home.
