Algorithmic Analyst says
Thanks Jamie! Excellent political analysis by Daniel!!!
Jeff Bargholz says
Yes, it was a very concise analysis, wasn’t it? And Greeny talks almost as fast as Ben Shapiro, who speaks as fast as a Mexican. And Greeny did it impromptu, with no script. If he’d been reading it, you would see his eyes move back and forth, which I didn’t.
Algorithmic Analyst says
Thanks Jeff! I was wondering if he had a script. That’s genius, to able to lay that all out verbally without a script.
The sound quality of the video was a little off on my computer, but I think I got the gist of it.
Daniel Greenfield says
Thank you, Analyst and Jeff.
No scripts. People sound robotic when reading from a script. And anyone who needs a script for a 5 minute video, needs help.
SPURWING PLOVER says
Lets send the Eco-Freaks over there to help douse this Fire caused by their own Eco-Utopia stupidity
Jeff Bargholz says
Yeah, let them do clean up and then throw them in a volcano.
SPURWING PLOVER says
The Volcano would throw them back

Two things the left always falls back on as the cause of every calamity, racism and climate change.
Beware the next evil from the left, racial climate change, the systematic carbon attack on people of color by whites barbequing burgers on (Oh no!) gas grills.
Jeff Bargholz says
I remember when I lived in Omaha, it was illegal to have any type of grill on your porch, but that was because the city didn’t want to be Lahaina, not because it was full on “woke.”.
I like gas grills. You don’t have to wait for charcoal to heat up, although hot charcoal sure smells good. Not as good as sizzling bacon but it does make my mouth water the same way. Anticipation, I guess. I even like the smell of lighter fluid when it burns.
Kalikiano Kalei says
As someone who is a ‘hanai’ Hawai’ian who also has experience living on Moloka’i (the most tradition-bound of the Islands), I well-understand the thrust of Mr. Greenfield’s argument about the progressive mind-set and ‘wokeism’ underlying Lahaima’s recent catastrophic conflagration. Translated into the Hawai’ian experience, ‘wokeism’ puts identity-priorities ahead of merit. Further complicating the problem are ‘Hawai’ian time’ attitudes, which are the antithesis of Western (read: ‘Mainland’) efficiency and timeliness.
I would agree with Greenfield in his contention that the slavish, obsessively progresive ‘Green’ focus on ‘environmental idealism’ works effectively as a convenient smokescreen to obfuscate the urgent need for REAL solutions to REAL problems (such as the Maui Electric Company’s apparent failure to respond in an effective manner to the storm’s effects before the damage occurred, rather than well-after the fact). Further, although tsunami awareness, always a traditional concern for the Islands, resulted in a system of tsunami alert responses, the very real possibility of a non-tsunami crisis (such as the concurrence of a severe storm and a fire), should have long-since been incorporated into that warning system. The fact that it was not, is a slamming indictment of the appointed bureaucrats charged with responsibility for regional safety for lacking foresight, at the very least!
The cozy fantasy of a ‘perfectly idyllic’, ancient Hawai’ian culture before Western European people deleteriously ‘invaded’ the Islands is still quite popular, but there is equally little conclusive argument that the Euro-incursions resolved all the problems of Hawai’i’s native peoples, or that haole malihinis bear total responsibility for progressive destruction of the mongrelised culture that now exists in almost all of Hawai’i. Regardless, that does not abnegate the responsibility of elected (or appointed) civil servants to function responsively, responsibly and appropriately in the best interests of all in their charge!
Thanks, Dan!
Daniel Greenfield says
Thank you for the insights. Much appreciated.

I have the word ‘deliberate’ seared into my mind when it comes to
the latest grand-scale horror that America is facing – such as the
Maui fire. The illegals pouring in will soon find that housing and food
is unaffordable and that, in a milieu of unpunished crime, what will
that mean for the rest of us? Which is a deliberate infliction on us.
As is Critical Race Theory and equity to keep us divided – and not
resist. As is climate change and environmentalism – to impose
restrictions and rules to stifle us further. All deliberate. The
near total destruction of great American cities through homelessness;
the saturation of deadly Fentanyl upon the populace; the threat of
putting illegals right next door to you. DELIBERATE. The deliberate
destruction of America. Just ask techno-tyrant and transhumanist
Klaus Schwab – and Joe Biden.
But Daniel Greenfield is right about Maui and the deaths and
devastation being caused by incompetence – not this time by a
deliberate action. There is no way the tree that fell on the power
line attended a meeting of communist globalists and agreed to
fall in August to ignite the firestorm. And it makes sense that
if the first criteria for your job as a lefty Commie Hawaiian
Governor or mayor or bureaucrat in charge of disasters is to
firmly adhere to woke ideologies – then competence level for
the job becomes secondary.
And they will stick to their woke garbage as blame for the debacle
and to deflect from their own incompetence. So now we have – not
only the deliberate planned takedown of America – but legions of
woke but incompetent foot soldiers to help do it.
Daniel Greenfield says
When systems are perverted and rotted through, disasters become much bigger ‘disasters’ regardless of whether or not they’re planned.
It takes a lot of work to keep an industrial modern civilization going. Rot away at that and everything starts falling apart.
DC says
The physical and psychological energy to build and maintain civilization is now running in reverse.
In biology, the term anabolic refers to processes that build tissue.
Catabolic processes destroy aging and deteriorating tissue so that they can be replaced with younger tissues during the anabolic process.
Western civilization is now in catabolism……..both physically and psychologically.
Mass human psychology in a catabolic state is what I call……..”suicidalism”.
Moses warned against it in Deuteronomy when he commanded the Jews to reject the Canaanite gods and their cults.
Samuel Pope says
Ah, we’re back on the novel “environmentalism caused the fires” bit with the “Polynesians aren’t really indigenous” non sequitur.
Daniel seems to have neglected what I thought was a fairly obvious fact, so it’s probably worth a reminder that Hawaii is a faraway archipelago where imported energy like coal and natural gas costs four times as much as it does in the mainland U.S. Meanwhile, guess what kinds of clean energy sources absolutely thrive in tropical areas with abundant amounts of year-round sunlight and some of the strongest winds in the U.S.? You got it: solar energy and wind energy. It’s also relevant that Hawaii’s main industry is tourism, so it would seem to make sense for the state government to incentivize energy companies that keep the islands clean. Obviously, Hawaiian Electric’s gametime failure to turn off the power lines was a catastrophic operational error, albeit one that has nothing to do with its green energy initiatives.
But hey, I’d encourage Daniel to try his hand at unseating the Democratic governor in the next election on a platform of dismantling Hawaii’s woke solar panels and wind farms in favor of importing more coal and natural gas from the mainland to the massive detriment of the energy industry and higher utility bills for consumers, all whilst scaring away those pesky tourists with a pervasive, good ol’-fashioned layer of smog. But alas, the woke voters might be too dumb to recognize his inherent understanding of their state or to embrace his piss poor economic vision, or they might just rig the election anyway.
Jeff Bargholz says
The 115 dead people and counting in Maui would disagree with your stupid bullshit, and so would their family and friends.
Samuel Pope says
I can’t speak for the dead, but I’m guessing that they’d disagree with Daniel Greenfield’s ridiculous and unsubstantiated claim that environmentalism caused the wildfires. I’d also suppose that they’d take umbrage to your thesis that “Polynesians are ugly and stupid,” and that they’d most likely reject your self-appointment to the position of “Arbiter Of Who’s Hot/Who’s Not.”
But hey, if you want to play Greenfield’s card of claiming that Hawaiians unfairly disenfranchise qualified white “colonizers” from their society and decision making, just take a quick look at the results of the 2022 Gubernatorial Election. That’s right, Mr. Handsome—the Polynesian and Asian hordes in America’s least-white state propelled straight, white Josh Green to a landslide victory over his ethnically Native Hawaiian opponent Duke Aiona. Hope that that negates any of your potential nightmares of white victimhood and sheds some light on why Greenfield could be a candidate after all.
Jeff Bargholz says
Environ-mental-cases definitely caused the Maui disaster. “Indigenous” practices prevented warnings and water? Shit.
Polynesians DO tend to be ugly and stupid. Just look at the public official who made a bunch of dumb excuses for the Dirtbagocrat Hawaiian governments’ failure and blamed it on Republicans.
A Haolie got elected in Hawaii so that means the pineapple heads aren’t racist? Derp.
But you are right about one thing. I am Mr. Handsome. I guess you looked my photo up online. Except get it right next time. I’m Mr. VERY handsome. Some chick in my building told me that the other day.
Samuel Pope says
Nice, don’t blow it by getting evicted again. But I commend a healthy degree of magical thinking as long as it doesn’t become delusion. A little confidence can go a long way.
Having a half Polynesian/half Jewish girlfriend with a “Dr.” title before her wacky, only-in-America name is about all the anecdotal evidence that I need to laugh at your stupid and ugly statement. But hey, feel free to make some sweeping generalizations against Jews too. Maybe Greenfield & co. He’ll only pander to obvious bigots until it hits home.
Jeff Bargholz says
Oh, and I’ve never been evicted. And my generalization about Polynesians is correct. And I’m half Jewish.
Jerk-off.
