I know people are excited about a Hillary Clinton comeback taking all the attention away from the next COVID variant. Given a choice between Hillary Clinton and Zeta or Omega, 63% of Americans would choose Zeta (not an actual statistic.)
But given a choice between Biden and Hillary Clinton, a majority of Democrats would choose Hillary.
As it stands now, Biden would lose Florida in the 2024 presidential race to a Republican nominee, whether it’s DeSantis or Trump – and he is even trailing in a hypothetical Democratic primary to former presidential nominee and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, by a within-the-margin-of-error tally of 46%-43%.
Why poll Hillary’s numbers? No other major Democrat has stepped forward. And I’m sure some people in Hillary’s camp are salivating over these numbers. Hillary would love another shot, but I’m pretty sure the party would do everything possible to stop her.
That said, and this is the big Dem question for 2024, what are the options? Biden, Kamala, Buttigieg?
Still if your party is going to turn the calendar from running 80-year-olds everyone is entirely familiar with and thoroughly hates, Hillary, who would be 76 by then, is not exactly the way to go. You might as well run Pelosi or Harry Reid. Sure he’s dead, but in Nevada the dead vote.
The only question is will they vote for a brain-dead candidate or a charisma-dead candidate.
