A plagiarized version of my new book, Defenders of the West: The Christian Heroes Who Stood against Islam, is being sold on Amazon.
The fake version was published on Aug. 3, 2022—one week after the release date of the authorized version (July 26). It appears under the author name of “Michael Johnson.” The cover of the book, which is identical to the cover of the real book, displays both this Johnson’s name, followed by my own, implying that it was co-written by us.
For the record, I neither know this Johnson (if that is his real name), nor have I given him or anyone else permission to publish any part of Defenders of the West.
Johnson’s book is an outright act of plagiarism.
Moreover, it’s about half as long as the authorized version, and, based on the only (1 – star) review, its contents are a travesty.
Buyers be warned. If you wish to purchase Defenders of the West on Amazon, here is the correct version. Other legitimate sellers of the authorized version appear here.
My publisher is currently in contact with Amazon on Johnson’s plagiarized version.

I am totally surprised that they would do something like this.

Why? The whole point is to discredit anybody who counters the prevailing left-wing narrative.

Back when Michael Belliles wrote his anti gun book Arming America and won a Bancroft Prize then had it revoked when his book was proven to have been faked and was forced to resign in disgrace and Gores take books Earth in the Balance(With his thumb on the scale) and Assault on Reason(Gore assaults reason)fake books written by fake authors like the liberal text books in the schools today

Thanks Raymond! I think I got the right version (hardcover, reading it now, a masterpiece, both of information and writing style).
I like the way you focused on the great leaders, and used original sources, giving us the best chance of getting as close as possible to seeing things they way they were back then.
I especially like the use of rare original sources that I may not have seen before.
Sounds like you got the real deal!

A more appropriate name for the plagiarist would be Winston Smith
Sue this Johnson Jerk and his Amazon enabler.
