Sometimes you need to do things in the right order.
First, you make sure that the government isn’t going to take you to trial. Then you write a memoir. And if you decide to do it in the reverse order, have your lawyers vet every single word and comma in that memoir to make sure you’re not confessing to things.
Hunter Biden’s 2021 memoir, “Beautiful Things,” was cited repeatedly in a California indictment detailing tax charges against him this week, outlining how he talked about lavish spending at a time when prosecutors say he should have been paying taxes.
The indictment also highlights how Hunter described stays in luxury hotels and private rentals and the related expenses. It quotes the memoir at length in reference to his stays in Malibu, Beverly Hills and Hollywood.
“An ant trail of dealers and their sidekicks rolled in and out, day and night. They pulled up in late-series Mercedes-Benzes, decked out in oversized Raiders or Lakers jerseys and flashing fake Rolexes. Their stripper girlfriends invited their girlfriends, who invited their boyfriends,” Hunter is quoted as saying. “They’d drink up the entire minibar, call room service for filet mignon and a bottle of Dom Pérignon. One of the women even ordered an additional filet for her purse-sized dog.”
The indictment then notes there was no indication of any business taking place at the luxury hotels at which Hunter stayed. Later in the indictment, it mentions expenses “specifically identified in the Defendant’s memoir” but that he never disclosed that his time spent there was not for business purposes.
The indictment says Lamborghini rentals, luxury hotel stays and the flying of an exotic dancer from LA to New York were not for business.
The memoir was written to rehab his image ahead of a presidential election, but did not foresee that the sham investigation would develop at least some teeth. Not real teeth. The only thing that is likely to happen here is that Hunter Biden will face a fine that will be paid by his dad’s donors. If his dad is not in the race, this will be a problem. So while some are speculating that Democrats will use Hunter as leverage to get Joe to drop out, it’s arguably the opposite. Those expensive lawyers and favors for Hunter will disappear the moment that Joe goes the way of Jimmy Carter. Hunter’s best bet is for Joe Biden to stay in the race.

His lawyers were assured by lawyers working for Weiss, if not Weiss himself that the plea deal was done and he would walk away with full immunity for everything except the slap-on-the-wrist gun crime he was pleading to. Then the proverbial shite hit the fan when the judge–bless her little heart–balked. Of course, by that time the “memoir” toothpaste was out and could not be stuffed back into the tube. Now the only play left is for Joe to stay in the White House as long as possible. Of course, should he decide to do otherwise, he will assuredly issue the blanket pardon of his entire family before he is out of office unless he is not given that option by his handlers. He might agree to exit the presidential race if he is given assurances that his successor will issue the pardons, like Ford pardoned Nixon in the name of “national healing.” If he stays in the race and wins, the heat is off and he will issue the pardons shortly after inauguration. If he stays in and loses, he will issue the pardons before the inauguration of the next president. So, no matter what, the Biden family and friends are assured of pardons. As someone once said, “stroke of the pen… free as a bird.”
If Joe (peace be upon him) were to die tonight in his sleep, Jill would say his last wish was to pardon Hunter.
Didn’t the DEMOcrats have a DEMAND that PRESIDENT TRUMP could not pardon HIS family? Where’s that DEMAND now from the R’s??? If anything they could just cite the PRECEDENT that the DEMOcrats established! HEY, why not pass a LAW?? There was testimony, at the oversight committee ,hearings . also , his Porsche was paid by oligarchs through his business partners.
