Don’t you know that it’s un-American not to hate America?
That’s always been the lefty defense of the anthem protests. Now Beto O’Rourke, the great Dem hope for taking Texas, has magnificently put the anti-American paradox into words.
After a word salad of Civil Rights movement gibberish, (a significant part of the religious rituals of the leftist cult requires invoking the spirit of the movement at every possible occasion) And at the very end of that word salad, which would try the patience of the most patient man on earth, O’Rourke wraps with, “ I can think of nothing more American than to peacefully stand up, or take a knee, for your rights, anytime, anywhere, anyplace.”
Except the NFL black nationalists aren’t protesting for their rights. They’re calling America racist and protesting its existence by rejecting the anthem.
Also the term peaceful is overused and meaningless. Most KKK marches are peaceful. That doesn’t make them right.
Neither does protesting the anthem which binds real Americans together because of your racial grievances. No real American does that. Only leftists do.
