The Media Left has shrieked, wailed and caterwauled that any examination of claims by illegal migrants coming here as supposed “families” makes us worse than the Nazis. The same media has selectively ignored the reality of this widespread fraud.

ICE has now managed to catch 238 such cases in just 6 months.

In April 2019, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) began the Family Fraud Initiative in El Paso to identify individuals fraudulently presenting themselves as families when making an asylum claim in order to be released into the United States.

Since inception, this law enforcement initiative has resulted in the following: 238 fraudulent families identified;

329 false documents seized that were used to support fraudulent claims; more than 350 individuals federally prosecuted for various crimes, including human smuggling, making false statements, conspiracy, and illegal re-entry after removal; and 50 individuals identified who have fraudulently claimed to be unaccompanied minors.

Remember that many of those 238 cases involve the potential sale, abuse and smuggling of children. Here’s what that looks like.

A Honduran migrant admitted to purchasing a baby for $80 in Guatemala after finding out that it was easier for family units to apply for asylum at the United States border.

Amilcar Guiza-Reyes, 51, confessed to immigration agents when he presented himself at the border with the six-month-old boy and was told he would be required to undergo a DNA test.

According to U.S. officials, the undocumented immigrant, Guiza-Reyes  reportedly bought the child during his stop in the western Guatemalan town of Huehuetenango and continued his journey through Mexico before reaching the southern U.S. border where he was detained May 7.

This is what all that nonsense about “babies in cages” is working to prevent. It’s not child abuse. It’s fighting child abuse by illegal aliens.
