Moving to Canada is for suckers. All of the lefties who promised to move to Canada if Bush or Trump won never followed through. And the reason is obvious.

Canada has some gorgeous mountains and forests, but Toronto is just Chicago with slightly less diverse street crime. And if you’re a Californian, like Pelosi or much of the wealthy left, the weather makes a move into a non-starter. Surely all the “resistance” members have heard those stories of their forebears fleeing the draft to Canada only to freeze their toes off. But Italy, now you’ve got a winner.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is planning her next move after an expected Republican victory in November.

Sources tell FOX Business that Pelosi wants President Biden to nominate her to become the next U.S. ambassador to Italy if the GOP takes the House majority in the midterm elections. 

Biden is holding the spot for the speaker, sources say, which is one reason he has yet to fill the position since taking office. Speculation earlier this year that a Pelosi ally and former Wall Street executive wanted the job has shifted with the increasing likelihood that the GOP takes the majority.  

Good thing Biden is prioritizing diplomatic relations with Italy to see how much he can get for the post. 

I’m sure that there are a bunch of top Democrat donors who would enjoy a full-time government-paid vacation in Italy at taxpayer expense, but getting rid of Pelosi would probably do more for the party.

And Pelosi would enjoy a lateral move to a place with lots of vineyards and slightly less organized crime than the California Democrat Party.
