In 2016, D.C. Mayor Bowser took the opportunity to reaffirm that it’s a “sanctuary city.”
“We are a sanctuary city because we know that our neighborhoods are safer and stronger,” Bowser falsely claimed.
In 2024, an illegal alien shot three D.C. police officers making the neighborhood stronger and safer.
A man accused of shooting three D.C. police officers who were trying to serve him a warrant on animal cruelty charges faced eviction after his dogs menaced a 2-year-old, according to his landlord’s account in court documents.
Stephen Claude Rattigan, 48, was arrested after a 13-hour standoff that began when he opened fire on officers at his home in the 5000 block of Hanna Place SE early Wednesday, police say. Authorities initially gave a different name for the suspect but on Thursday morning said that Rattigan had provided a fake name.
Why would he have needed a false name?
According to a report from Julio Rosas, “Stephen Claude Rattigan, also known as James Claude Julius, is in the US illegally. He has an active ICE deportation order.”
Good thing D.C. passed that Sanctuary Values Act protecting illegal alien criminals from deportation.
The District of Columbia Council on Tuesday unanimously approved a permanent version of the Sanctuary Values Act, legislation that restricts cooperation between local agencies and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and strengthens the status of the U.S. capital as a “sanctuary city.”
The Sanctuary Values Act prohibits jails, police and other city agencies from sharing information with ICE or giving them special access.
Now three officers have been shot. They were the ones who needed sanctuary.

An illegal alien shot three cops in a sanctuary city. Oh, the self-righteous irony. The puncture wounds gives new meaning to the expression: “Holier than thou.”

Citizens are a prominent and considerably more accessible and trackable “low hanging fruit” In all categories! A problem that we share with Police who wear uniforms and are easily targeted as well. So for the criminal justice system we are always available. We are like tagged cattle in a shooting gallery. The average citizen can be followed in many ways. Genius!, I’ll just follow their forwarded bills! Ask the bank where we are? The Dry Cleaner? Domino’s? Our Pet sitter! No real challenge there. Plus CJS has something to work on every day!

Then crime victims of illegal aliens should be allowed to sue the pants of the District of Criminals and have the Mayor and City Council charged with aiding and abetting and give them Life
