1. The Biden administration has made it clear that it wants to go back to the Obama status quo in which Iran gets to chase its nuclear dreams without U.S. interference. He was funded by the Iran lobby and his people include assorted advocates for Iran and regime-linked figures.
2. Iran is actually the one pressuring Biden for concessions before it will even agree to hold talks.
Iran asked for the U.S. to unfreeze $10 billion of its funds in order to restart nuclear talks, Iran’s foreign minister said Saturday.
Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said that the unfreezing of funds would be a sign of good will, according to Reuters.
“The Americans tried to contact us through different channels in New York, and I told the mediators if America’s intentions are serious then a serious indication was needed … by releasing at least $10 billion of blocked money,” the official said during a state television interview, Reuters reported.

This paints a picture of Biden officials trying to wheedle Iran into returning to the talks… while Iran keeps turning them down until it extracts concessions just for showing up to the negotiating table.
