Catch 22.
The Catch 22 is that everything that Israel does proves it’s evil.
There was the time that an academic argued that the lack of rape by Israeli soldiers was proof of their racism.
in one case, a professor asked me if I knew how many Palestinians have been raped by IDF forces. I answered that as far as I knew, none. She triumphantly responded that I was right, because, she said, “You IDF soldiers don’t rape Palestinians because Israelis are so racist and disgusted by them that you won’t touch them.”
This is the same flavor of hateful craziness.
Jasbir Puar, an associate professor of women’s and gender studies, co-won the NWSA’s 2018 Alison Piepmeier Book Prize for her work The Right to Maim: Debility, Capacity, Disability.
Published by in November 2017 by Duke University Press — which has come under scrutiny for its editorial advisors’ ties to the Palestinian-led boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel — the book posits that the “Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have shown a demonstrable pattern over decades of sparing life, of shooting to maim rather than to kill.”
Yet it contends that this “purportedly humanitarian practice of sparing death by shooting to maim” is not rooted in a desire to minimize fatalities, but rather seeks to maintain “Palestinian populations as perpetually debilitated, and yet alive, in order to control them.”
Also, despite constant accusations of genocide, Israel’s Muslim population keeps growing. That can only be because Israel is so racist.
Israel can never be innocent. Any proof of its innocence just reveals a deeper and more conspiratorial evil. That’s not just bias. It’s demonization.
