The outcry over “family separation” or ”splitting up parents and children” is one of the worst examples of fake news.

Let’s be clear what’s happening here.

When adults commit a crime, they’re separated from their children. That’s how the legal system works. Illegal aliens are committing a crime. And so they are arrested. If they bring children with them, those children are detained separately because they’re victims, not criminals, and the Democrats themselves wanted children to be held in the least restrictive conditions possible.

That makes sense. (As long as they’re actual children and not Obama’s 17-year-old MS-13 unaccompanied minors.)

There are only two possible solutions here.

1. Detain children together with parents

2. Open the border and allow illegal aliens (at least those toting along children as human shields) to invade the country with no interference.

This is the game that the left is playing here.

If we detain children and parents together, the left screams that we’re locking up children. If we detain them separately, it cries that we’re splitting apart families. The only solution it will accept is not detaining illegal aliens.

The Obama era policy. “Let them all in. Let them illegally vote Democrat.”

There is no good solution to children being used as human shields except to secure the border. And the Democrats refuse to do that also. But the current solution is a compromise. It does its best to protect Americans while trying to be as humane as possible under the circumstances.

And the left, as always, takes advantage of our humanity, our sympathy and our empathy to destroy the country.

The children are victims here. They’re victims of the parents, family members, human traffickers or those posing as their parents, who brought them here. The adults are criminals. And the left isn’t defending the kids. It’s defending the criminals who are exploiting them.
