James O’Keefe: Thank you very much everyone. Great to be with you so early on a Sunday morning. But I hope to wake you all up with the Project Veritas elections special, as we go through a number of senate races, deep state investigations, and expose the truth in a visual way, irrefutable way. So, without further ado, I’m going to just get started and take you on this journey as we traipse from state to state and federal government program to federal government program exposing what is really going on behind closed doors. And before we get to the elections, let’s talk about the deep state. Let’s talk about what that is. A lot of people are talking about this deep state but it’s never really personified. We’ve never really seen a face to the name of what it is.
So, we went undercover, which is what we do at Project Veritas, and we exposed who these people actually are. How many of you saw this video of the State Department? This is a man named Stuart Karaffa. We spent months undercover in DC, and I won’t even say it because there are children in the room, but the things that he was saying, resist everything at every level, says Stuart Karaffa. I’m going to play a couple clips and talk about what happened. We’re going to get some audio playing here.
This is the State Department. And he says it’s impossible to get fired. It’s impossible to get fired, he said bragging to resisting. He can’t get fired. And the most amazing part of this, and you’ll see a pattern, is that in each of these videos they say they know what I’m doing but there’s no accountability. Stuart Karaffa says, the best part is there’s an ethics form that I have to fill out, and I get away with it. They just rubberstamp it, says Stuart Karaffa. It’s impossible to fire a federal employee. Something we’ve all known but never really seen in an irrefutable way. Now, we’re just getting started.
So, we know the State Department. What about the Department of Justice? Is there a resistance effort inside the Department of Justice? You know the people who have been harassing Ted Cruz at restaurants and Sarah Huckabee Sanders at the Red Hen Restaurant? Have you ever heard of that happening? Well, who’s doing that? Well, it turns out people inside the federal government. We went undercover and found people working for the feds doing that, including this person–an official at the Department of Justice–Allison Hrabar is her name, and she talks about the resistance movement and using Department of Justice resources to target people that she disagrees with. How we can resist from the inside, Allison says. And she talks about how they scan the license plates using DOJ resources. So, our undercover asks Allison Hrabar, the Department of Justice, how do you do this? Is it socialist – these are all Democratic Socialists. We went undercover into the Democratic Socialists in DC and found many of them work for the federal government. And we asked her, well, where do you get the money to pay for these resources?
They’re saying that they’re using the DOJ’s LexisNexis to target people. And if anybody found out how much in trouble they would get – now, remember what Allison Hrabar said, what’s kind of lucky is at the DOJ we can’t like really get fired, is what she said. Well, after this video, she was fired.
So, people talk about draining the swamp. At Project Veritas, we actually do it, one at a time, and we force the dead newspapers to talk about our videos. One of the common themes you want to see is for unforced errors, so, the Washington Post, was really upset they had to cover this video. One can only imagine just how angry they were. But they have to cover it because it’s news.
And I want to make one comment about Bob Woodward because people always say we selectively edit, our stuff is fake. Well, guess what? I only report something if you can see and hear it coming out of the person’s own mouth. Bob Woodward quotes sources anonymously relaying information from other sources anonymously 6 months after the incident in question and then he puts it in quotation marks. If that isn’t selective editing and poetic license, what is? At Project Veritas we film the sources; we don’t quote them anonymously. And, by the way, after Allison Hrabar got fired from the Department of Justice, she starts a GoFundMe page. There’s a common theme amongst these disgraced officials. I think it was said last night or the other night that a million dollars was raised for Christine Blasey Ford’s GoFundMe page. She met her goal and then some.
We’re just getting started because now we’re going to go to the government accountability office. That’s right, the government auditors. And we find this man, a man named Nate Subramanian, government auditor, talks about how he can slow-ball things inside this executive agency, he can slow-ball things to a degree. And you may get in trouble, maybe you don’t, but there’s no accountability. Let’s see what Nate Subramanian says. He describes himself as a communist inside our government.
He’s good at slacking off at his job until he doesn’t need to slack off at his job. He’s good at doing – DSA is Democratic Socialist of America – he’s doing that at work using your taxpayer dollars.
He says that he was vague on his disclosure forms about his activities. I just said it was a socialist organization. I didn’t say we wanted to destroy capitalists. And he also – this is pretty amazing – I’ve seen some, as you can imagine, some amazing things in my tenure, some things don’t surprise me. This did surprise me. He says, I don’t actually – this is a federal government employee, of which there are 2.I– don’t know–2.7 million. He says, if I actually worked a full work week I’d be bad at my job. So, I only work 20 hours a week because if I had to work anymore than that, then I wouldn’t be good at what I do.
So, pretty amazing stuff. And there’s a common theme here. Remember who Stuart said, I just can get away with it, the guys rubberstamp my forms? Well, Nate says the same thing, that he can just get away with this, that he’s been doing this and no one really pays attention in our government. So, there’s a common pattern. But, of course, another one bites the dust. Two federal government workers have been fired, removed from their job, because they can’t really get fired, so the spokespeople say he was removed from his job. That’s a euphemism.
But there’s thousands of – tens of thousands of these people, don’t work, can’t get fired, no accountability. And the only solution, the only solution, is sunlight. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. Politics is downstream from culture. So, that’s what we do. We’re going to do more of it. Of course, he starts a GoFundMe page. They always meet their fundraising goals. I should hire them to raise money for Project Veritas. Always over the fundraising goal.
And then everyone says you need to go after the IRS. We did. We actually investigated the IRS. By the way, Project Veritas is a nonprofit organization under the Charities Bureau. People say how did you get your tax-exempt status? Lois Lerner actually gave us the tax-exempt status. I have it framed in my office, Project Veritas. She probably thought that it was a Latin book discussion club. She didn’t know what she was signing. Little did she know she was signing the tax-exempt status of an organization that would go on to investigate her and her minions. This is Thomas Sheehy, tax examiner with the IRS, talking about how it’s good that the IRS targets conservatives. He says it’s a good thing. He says we need to do more of that.
It was so cool that the commissioner of the IRS deleted the emails and then the official, the employee of the IRS, says the following thing. I don’t give a shit if that’s a crime. This is what the IRS official says when he does not know that he’s being recorded. I wish we had a 100 of these IRS officials on tape, and that’s exactly what we intend to do. That’s exactly what we’re going to do– what we are you doing next. Well, that’s what I’m doing next. Who are you going to expose next? I’m going to do more of what we’re already doing, times 100, that’s what we’re going to do next.
But I want to transition to the elections. I want to take you on a journey for the next 20 minutes. This has been one of the most interesting phenomena, this midterm election season. And our investigators were there in almost every one of these states. And first I take you to the State of Tennessee, Phil Bredesen. I take you to the senate seat where an interesting phenomenon has been developing. These red state Democrats have to play to their progressive base and they have to woo the moderates. So, we go in and we find these officials, and this is a common theme, they have to lie about who they are, in order to get elected. And they are honest about it. People say how do you get them to admit these things? Because this is who they are. If you just talk to them for 10 minutes, they’ll just tell you these things. This is an official in Phil Bredesen’s campaign saying, well, Phil is saying that he would vote for Cavanaugh if he were senator, but he wouldn’t actually. He says he wouldn’t, but he’s saying he would, it’s politics, it’s a political game. And watch this clip. (shows clip)
The official says it’s better, it’s better that he’s playing politics. Now, I don’t know if it makes it worse or better that he’s lying – no, I actually think it’s better. It’s incredible what these people are saying when they don’t know – this is behind closed doors inside the office of Phil Bredesen. He calls the people of Tennessee ignorant. He says we have to lie, the voters are ignorant, and then he says this thing, and this is very – watch his body language as he describes what’s going to happen after he lies and gets elected. Once he gets into the Senate then he’ll do the right thing.
Now, one of the things that these videos, they force errors like you can’t imagine. People call for my prosecution. They lie about the people in the tape. This guy came out and said, oh, all of this is fake, none of it happened, none of these people worked for the campaign. But they actually do work for the campaign and even the local media have to hold them accountable.
Andrew Breitbart taught me years ago that you have to actually use the mainstream media; you can’t just speak to the echo chamber. One of the people made this comment the other night, that you can’t just speak to each other; you have to fight, you have to get into the mainstream media, you have to make the mainstream media ask them questions, almost because they have to. Maybe it’s their beat, maybe it’s what they cover locally. And this is an example of that.
(Plays clip)
Phil Bedesen: She spent a month befriending these people and then she shot this video of these young people talking about their opinion.
WCYB News Clip: Democratic Party spokesman Mark Brown refers to those in the video as interns and said they volunteer. But a Fox editing news investigation reveals that’s not true. According to the Federal Election Commission those talking in the video are paid staffers. Brown says when I asked him about those in the video he told the truth but referenced those in the background.
O’Keefe: We have these local media outlets just asking – actually, you’re lying, Phil Bredesen. This phenomenon happened. Every local TV station in the state is asking him questions and suddenly there’s a huge difference in the poling. I mean every local TV, CBS, NBC, ABC, and suddenly things change.
And, by the way, do you know how much money I pay the TV stations? Take a guess. Zero. Zero. No money paid for any ads. Zero. So, the question is, do you want to enrich political consultants so that they get 20 percent off of buying ads or do you want to do what Andrew Breitbart would have done, which is to force the mainstream media to ask the tough questions, which is what we need to do. We need to fight them. We need to get in their faces. We need to ask them questions. It’s actually what journalists are supposed to do. But as long as they don’t do it, we’ll do it. And maybe they’ll do it because they’re afraid of getting scooped. By the way, this is every TV station. So off we go to the next – and, by the way, I think that we had more of an impact than Taylor Swift. I think Taylor Swift was not able to change this paradigm. She tried and she failed. I can sing, not as good as her, but Taylor Swift failed in her endeavor to elect that candidate.
So, let’s to go Claire McCaskill in Missouri. Let’s go to the Claire McCaskill Senate race, another forced error – this is Claire McCaskill. This time she’s on tape talking about her opinions on guns. And in Missouri the dynamics are as follows: You cannot be anti-gun in Missouri. Even the Democrats are fairly conservative. So, what does she say when no one is looking?
(Plays clip)
Journalist: So, you would be on board with the bump stocks and?
Senator McCaskill: Of course, of course.
Journalist: Bump stocks and high capacity mags?
McCaskill: I’ve voted for most of those things before
Journalist: For a ban?
McCaskill: Oh yeah.
O’Keefe: For a ban! And, by the way, we’re in this office speaking to this staffer. By the way, these cameras now are so good that when you look at this video it doesn’t even look like a hidden camera video. I can’t tell you where the camera was located but we’ve got amazing devices, water bottles, pins, hats, ties, anything you can imagine, and this guy does not know he’s recorded. And he says, well, we want Obama to come here to campaign but we just can’t have Obama in the State of Missouri. But then he says this.
(Plays Clip)
Nicholas Starost (McCaskill Office): For Democrats, yes, but Obama will not be coming to Missouri. There’s thoughts that Obama would do more harm here than he would do good, because of how like ‘cause you, he’s a very liberal candidate and like Claire distancing herself from the party is…more votes than it will, say like, oh here’s Obama, the former president of the United States and speaking on my behalf which is unfortunate ‘cause I love Obama to pieces, and I’d love to see him come here and they essentially have the same views on everything.
O’Keefe: The people just can’t know that. People just can’t know. Well, what is it with Nick? What is about – why can’t people know that they have the same view. Why is that a secret? Why are you ashamed of this? Why are you ashamed? They’ll never say this publicly. I, of course, I confronted him kind of like 60 Minute style outside of his office and just asked him that question. He did not respond, but this is another example. We talk about Planned Parenthood in a state like Missouri. There does exist–they’re an endangered species–but pro-life democrats, this staffer says, that McCaskill essentially has to, and this is her words, lie about her views on abortion in order to get elected.
(Plays clip)
Journalist: Grace was telling me basically that we definitely get money from them [Planned Parenthood], but they route it through whatever. I don’t know if it’s PACS or individuals to make sure that money get’s there but not have the Planned parenthood name on it. Which is just like-I hate the whole game, I mean I get it but…or individuals or whatever to make sure that money gets there but not have the Planned Parenthood name on it.
Melissa Balke (McCaskill Campaign Staffer): I get it but it doesn’t make you feel any better about it.
Journalist: No. It’s like we have to lie to get elected.
Melissa Balke: Essentially. Essentially.
O’Keefe: Pretty powerful stuff, huh? We essentially essentially have to lie to get elected, so, of course, you can imagine how angry Claire McCaskill is about all of this. I mean, she’s really, really, really angry, and it comes through, and I’m going to show you a couple clips of what these senate candidates say and do once them– and this time she was on tape. She was on tape talking about something she does not want to talk about publicly. Let’s see what she had to say and watch her body language particularly the blinking, the blinking that happens as she’s asked about both by in a debate and by the local media in Missouri.
(Plays clip)
Journalist: Ms. McCaskill, do you blame Mr. Holly’s campaign for that video? did your campaign have anything to do with that video?
Claire McCaskill: Absolutely not and to accuse me of fraud, it is startling that Josh Holly would be part of fraudulently embedding somebody in my campaign.
O’Keefe: She’s just very uncomfortable after having been exposed.
(plays clip)
McCaskill: I think we can support the Second Amendment and universal background checks and banning bump stocks. My gun record is out in the open for everyone to see. What’s really telling about this is how far they’re willing to go to fraudulently embed somebody in my campaign.
O’Keefe: So, she calls what I do fraud. She says I’m a fraudster for exposing the fact that her people are lying to the voters. So, if it’s fraud to record someone in their own words saying they’re lying, then what is what she’s doing, if not fraud? And by the way, I really have to object to people making this about journalism ethics. This is not about journalism ethics. This is not about the morality of accurately reporting what someone is saying. This is about power. This is about exposing the sacred cows and reporting on the institutions that the sanctimonious beasts of the fourth estate who are unwilling to be exposed because they’re monolithic in their support for one political party by 95 percent. And that’s not me saying that. That’s nonpartisan surveys.
And don’t take my word for it. This is, I’m just gonna quote Judge Richard Posner. That if the use of a false identity was fraud, we would have to be willing to allow restaurants to sue restaurant critics who frequently dine undercover or trespass. Landlords will have to sue fair housing testers who will never admit to racial discrimination, and we’d even have to sue stores to sue browsers who have–it turns out–no real intention to buy. It is not fraud to go undercover, but it may be fraud to lie to the voters which is why we’re gonna keep doing it. You noticing a pattern: people just can’t know that. He wouldn’t, but he’s saying it would. People just can’t know that. It’s in every single office we visited we found the same exact thing. North Dakota. How about this one? Digital director for Heidi Heitkamp. After the election, if and when she gets elected, then she’ll do what she can’t say she’ll do now.
Journalist: So, she wants to, if she gets elected, what’d you say? She wants to be really liberal?
Jesse Overton, Digital Director, Sen. Heidi Heitkamp: Yeah, she’s joke about it. She’s like the stuff that I’m being a little safe on now, she’d probably be a little more bolder about it.
O’Keefe: Why wouldn’t she say this publicly? Why is she hiding this? Why can’t she say this publicly, and by the way, same thing, same thing, every local TV station, every local radio station. This stuff is impactful, and I wanna say the same thing I said to you last year, the truth is the most powerful thing. That’s all you need. You don’t to advocate. You don’t need to lobby. You just need to expose them in their own words. That’s all you have to do.
Let’s go to Indiana. Who’s here from Indiana? Anyone? If we didn’t expose their staff, and we didn’t expose the candidate, now we’re going to talk to Senator Joe Donnelley’s wife, and see what she has to say.
(Plays Clip)
Joe Donnelley’s wife, Jill: I guess I’m a pretty good voice for him, watching what he does, all last year.
Jill Donnelley: I wouldn’t say anything about unions. Don’t use “unions”, just say he’s for working families.
O’Keefe: Don’t say that he supports the unions. Don’t say that publicly whatever you do. Just say something different. And, of course, that also made the local media and blew everything up. And let’s go to Texas. Let’s go to the biggest sacred cow of them all. When it comes to sacred cows, this one is pretty, pretty sacred, and this is unbelievable. I’m gonna actually play you….some people have not seen this. I’ve asked. I’m actually gonna play you 2 minutes of video. This is unbelievable. I saw Ann Coulter in the hallway last night, and she was, I mean, just floored by this, and she says she’s gonna tweet this out again. This is I don’t know how many, it’s $100 million raised by this guy maybe $80, $90, $100 million. And these staffers, they’re sitting around in this office. This is not espionage. We walked into the office, and basically find this happening. They’re just lying on their backs, talking to each other, thinking and scheming of ways to pay for the migrants and to house and shelter and pay for their food and water, and they’re even saying how they have to break the law. This is what they’re saying, not me. Watch this video.
Dominic Chacon, Field Manager, Beto O’Rourke campaign:
So, there’s like, uh, this migrant caravan, they just, a few of htem got here already and they’re dropping them off really close to Missouri.
Journalist: The Hondurans?
Chacon: The Hondurans, yeah. It’s this holy thing, Holy something church, it’s actually really close to be here. She’s gonna text me the address, um, I’m going to go get some food right now. Like, just some stuff to the dropoff, because they need food and blakets, so if you know anybody who has blankets and s**t.
Anapaula Themann, Field Organizer, Beto O’Rourke Campaign: I just hope nobody that’s the wrong person finds out about this.
Chacon: I can ignore the rules and I’m like f**k it. I don’t mind breaking the rules and I can defend any position. I was going to use the vans too. We’re going to use that to give some of those immigrants rides too. Like to the airport, to the bus station. I’m done being nice. I’m done being professional, you know? Cause nothing is professional. Noe of this is like sh*t there is a rule book for, you know?
Themann: Don’t ever repeat this and stuff but like if we just say that we’re buying food for a campaign event, like the Halloween events, cause there’s block walks coming up for Halloween.
O’Keefe: We could just saying we’re buying the food for a Halloween event when we’re giving it to the caravan migrant. Their words, not mine. This is obviously illegal, a violation of at least Federal Code 1001, if not a violation of the FEC rules. They even brought our undercover reporter to the grocery store as they filled up the basket with food for the caravan. All that’s on tape.
Journalist: Have you been able to go and like, um, help out anymore, with the other people?
Themann: I did yesterday, um, tonight we get more, so it’s I don’t know how that’s going to go. There’s more people coming. There’s four, three, two hundred more.
O’Keefe: Hundreds of migrants. And the Beta Award campaign was using the campaign money to take care of them, and there’s nothing wrong with charity. I support charity. I support charity for anyone, but you can’t break the law to do it. Now that this video came out, the morning that we released it, we talked to the campaign manager. We walked up to her. First, the undercover reporter walked into the office and because Jody is the top honcho, she’s the head of the whole thing, and Jody Casey is her name, and we said, Jody, is this okay? Do you know about this? Watch what the campaign manager for Beta Award said.
Journalist: I know that we’re using the campaign resources to help with the migrants, and like I just didn’t want anyone to get into trouble with that, like I didn’t want them to ask me any questions about the people using resources.
Jody Casey, Campaign Manager, Beto O’Rourke: Don’t worry.
O’Keefe: Don’t worry she says. So, I confronted her, but something–an interesting phenomenon happened in the Texas media which loves Beta Award. I mean, they love him. Something interesting began to happen people, and I credit this audience with this. I credit the people near the distribution mechanism for these videos. I do not have the friends at NBC News and friends at CBS News, but people, I mean, thousands, tens of thousands of people were emailing, calling up the networks, and it was: why aren’t you covering this? This is on tape. This is illegal. And these sorts of things started to happen.
(Plays clip of news coverage across media):
“Our email and Facebook page have been blowing up with lots of you demanding we check out this video claiming to have damaging information about senate candidate Beto O’Rourke.”…..
“Here’s the undercover video. The people who took it say it shows O’Rourke staffers using campaign money to help illegal immigrants from that caravan making its way toward the US. So who is making this new claim? And is it true?”……
“ I mean, Kevin, Gary, Lou, Brandon, you name it, a lot of people asking us to look into this very video.”
O’Keefe: I wouldn’t be surprised if some people in this room sent the video to Channel 12, and Beto was forced to respond.
Rep. Beto O’Rourke: I think this is more a Cruz and Trump and their partners trying to start fear and anxiety about immigrants. To the best of my knowledge, and we’re looking at this, some money we spent on baby wipes and diapers and water for people, for women and children who desperately needed it.
O’Keefe: Another one bites the dust, but just not him. I believe that they fired Dominique Chacon, and they were very quiet about it because they don’t want the media to know that they’re firing. If they fired someone, I guess they must have done something wrong. And I have the grand finale since I am in Florida, let’s talk about Florida. Let’s talk about Florida. How many of you saw this video? Raise your hand if saw this video? We spent awhile in Florida, here in Florida, the thinnest of margins. This election came razor thin. Up until recently, I’m in Broward County, the capital of the shenanigans, so we go into his office, and this is my favorite character [Omar Smith, Gillum campaign staffer]. Of all the staffers I’ve talked to this might be my favorite character I’ve ever interviewed even better than the ACORN people. This guy is the most honest guy you’ll ever see. I actually think he’s kind of a nice guy. All the other people are committing fraud. They’re dishonest. They lie. This guy….this is the way it is. This is the way the system works. And, of course, I don’t like what he said here. He made a couple racial comments, and I’ll play these for you, and then I’ll play the comment about how the system really is. This is Andrew Gilliam’s worker talking about what he thinks about Florida voters.
Omar Smith: Get it? Ask anybody outside of here. Got go Port St. Lucie, Orlando….an them crackers ain’t gonna let us do that s**t dawg. Boy, you crazy?
A gentleman called on the phone, and he said fair tales in the old days begin with once upon a time. Fairy tales in the modern day begin with once I am elected.
O’Keefe: He repeats this little fable like over and over and over again. So, we sent in another woman, and by the way, this undercover, it’s an internal. It’s funny because she’s like this 56‑year-old woman that works for us. She’s very motherly, and the last sort of person that you would think that he would admit these things to, but she does ask a great follow-up question. She says do the voters know that? Do voters know that this all is BS? Watch what he says.
I haven’t expressed one view, one opinion. The best thing is to always just let them talk. He’s part of the crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy, crazies. This is Andrew Gillum, and you might say well, that’s just the staffer. That’s just the guy. This is in Plantation, Florida, that’s just the guy in the office. Who cares about him? Well, we’re sitting in our office one day, this is like 2 days before we release this thing like 2 weeks ago, and one of our producers, we have seven editors constantly producing and gathering, James, James come here. I go over there. He opens the timeline. You gotta listen to this. Right before we’re about to publish the video, he says I think I found something you want to hear, and it’s this.
Deeply regrettable. It’s amazing the difference between how people project themselves in public and what they say in private, and of course, we’re always trying to reduce that gap to promote integrity in the political process including in Florida and this is, of course, then the mainstream is oh, we gotta cover this. They really talked about the racial comment. Even the New York Times they called us journalists, undercover journalism operation. That’s incredible. The New York Times. But then the mainstream media they have to talk about it, and that’s that Andrew Breitbart idea which is you use the mainstream media. You leverage the mainstream media.
That is how we succeed in getting the truth out. That’s the only thing that matters, and ladies and gentlemen, last night Gillum conceded by the thinnest of margins, by razor thin margin he conceded, and this is the fight. I encourage you all to fight. I mean you’re all fighters, but sometimes fighting is just showing the truth. That’s all it is. And if you’re out there lying or cheat, this is what I always say, if you’re lying or cheating or stealing or scamming, Project Veritas will find you. We will film you, and we will make you the next unwilling Internet celebrity. Thank you all. I think there’s for a couple questions, 4 or 5 minutes for questions, if we have time. Anybody who asks a question gets a hat. This is an upside down twitter bird ‘cause we exposed Twitter, so I’ll toss you a hat. Yeah?
Audience Question: When you go after the swamp so much, it heartened me actually that there was one innocent out there, a newspaper a while back, and you got hammered for it. I didn’t think it was fair because if you batted 100 percent, that would mean there would be no good people out there.
O’Keefe: That’s right. We’re kind of like the secret shoppers. We test people, and we have a pretty good ratio of finding the fraudsters. We do a pretty good job of finding because the whole premise is that there is fraud. The whole premise is that something’s broken, but the reason why the media really doesn’t like us is because we investigate the media, and the media doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with the media. They think there’s no problem. They practice no introspection, but CNN and NBC retract stories all the time. They selectively edit. They selectively edit Trump. CNN, I think they had to fire one of their people. They had to retract some of their stories, so the mistakes that citizens make, citizen reporters make, is well below industry standard for mainstream media which makes mistakes all the time, but they’re not branded that way. Here’s a twitter hat for you. Upside down twitter bird.
Audience Question: Do you see any time in the future when the media will give in and give you airtime possibly some kind of a TV show?
O’Keefe: Will the media give in and give us airtime? They already have. Every local TV station, and I can’t emphasis this enough, we have to not be in the echo chamber, and it’s very hard. It’s very hard, and the reason why it’s hard is the same thing, David Horowitz has talked about this a lot. The notion of fighting when you’re in the trench, they call you names. A lot of Republicans–my opinion is that the Republican Party fears the humiliating power of the press so much that they’re utterly unwilling to stand up for their own principals, not because they’re not good principals, but because if they stand up for the principals, the media will call them names, and they wanna be liked, and what I’ve learned, and this is something I know– like Rush Limbaugh has said publicly, he’s also said it privately to me– is that if you’re gonna do this, you’re gonna be hated, but then you have to learn that being hated is a sign of respect, and it’s a sign that you’re doing something right. So, we’re hated, but at the end of the day, the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.
Audience members: We love you.
O’Keefe: Thank you all.
