A group of mostly disgraced government officials issued a letter falsely denying the fact that there is an emergency on the border. And the validity of President Trump’s emergency declaration.
These disgraced officials, many of whom have been caught lying about illegal wars in Libya and Syria, falsely claim that there is no security emergency at the border.
Some of these officials have been complicit in falsely claiming that there was imminent genocide in Libya, and that we were arming moderates in Syria. Others had previously been complicit in lies involving the bombing of parts of the former Yugoslavia under Bill Clinton.
Some have also lied about Iran’s nuclear program and its presence in Iraq.
The list of officials includes
John Kerry, who claimed that Syria’s Assad no longer had WMDs, only to watch further chemical attacks take place, Samantha Power, John Brennan, James Clapper, William J. Burns, Thomas Donilon, Chuck Hagel and Leon Panetta, Thomas Pickering, Jake Sullivan and Susan Rice.
Many of these figures were complicit in Obama’s lies about Libya, Syria and Iran. That goes double for Susan Rice.
Also on the list is Madeline Albright, the failed figure who bears a good deal of the responsibility for the current disaster in Russia.
Anne Patterson, who has been accused of backing the Muslim Brotherhood and intimidating their Christian victims in Egypt, signed on.
The most disgraceful figure on the list may be Johnnie Carson. The name may not be familiar to most people, but Nigerians remember him. So has anyone who took on Obama’s shameful refusal to aid Christians being massacred in Nigeria by Boko Haram.
The Boko Haram death toll has surpassed a thousand in only a few years. It has killed 250 people this year alone. It draws inspiration from the Taliban, has links to Al-Qaeda and has carried out numerous sophisticated attacks, including multiple car bombings.
That leaves one question. Why hasn’t Boko Haram been designated a terrorist organization? It has killed more people than some of the organizations on the list and it is dedicated to ethnic cleansing, something that we decided was unacceptable when it came to Muslims. Shouldn’t it then be equally unacceptable when it is being done by Muslims to Christians?
Apparently not. Johnnie Carson, Obama’s Chicago-born man in Africa, and the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs at subcommittee hearings chaired by Senator Coons, dismissed the idea of designating Boko Haram a terrorist organization and claimed falsely, that despite Boko Haram’s repeated statements about its goals and its very name, that this conflict was not driven by religion, but by social inequities.
Questions about Boko Haram’s terrorism against Christians were rerouted into what Carson described as a “comprehensive” approach to the problem, sidelining security assistance in favor of providing social aid to the Muslim north and urging the Nigerian government to stop aggressively fighting terrorism.
This declaration will be used to build backing for Democrat activist federal judges trying to pull a pro-illegal alien judicial coup at the border. But a statement from many disgraced officials, some of whom were caught lying about national security issues, proves the opposite of what it was intended to prove.
