Western District of Louisiana Chief Judge Terry Doughty shot down Biden’s bid to force women to compete against men by citing the actual law.
Title XI, Biden’s weapon of choice, had been explictly created to protect the rights of women. That’s why some ‘feminists’ had been arguing for getting rid of it.
All Judge Doughty, a Trump appointee, had to do was quote Title XI.
Title IX lists several exemptions which use the language “one sex” or “both sexes” showing that the statute was referring to biological men and biological women, not gender identity, sexual orientation, sex stereotypes, or sex characteristics.
In 1974, Congress enacted legislation instructing regulations to be promulgated “which shall include with respect to intercollegiate athletic activities reasonable provisions concerning the nature of particular sports.” Those regulations allowed a school “to provide separate teams for ‘men and women’ where the provisions of only one team would ‘not accommodate the interests and ability of both sexes
Additionally, 20 U.S.C. § 1686 of Title IX states that nothing contained in Title IX shall be construed to prohibit any educational facility from “maintaining separate living facilities for the different sexes.”
The law is invariably clear. But these days judges routinely decide to simply ignore the law when it’s inconvenient. It’s refreshing when a judge quotes it instead.
Funny, I was thinking a few hours ago about just following the original laws. Like the Constitution. Even if later laws contradicted it.
It’s been interesting watching ‘feminists’ in the vanguard of destroying Title IX. “The issue isn’t the issue, the revolution is the issue.” Women and black people are starting to realize they’re being thrown under the bus by their party, as it ‘progresses’ toward its’ end-game, and they have to shut up, bend over, and take it, for whatever crumbs they are given.
The “By any means necessary,” leftist judges ignoring what the laws clearly state for political expediency, are the biggest threat to our freedom and the rule of law.

As an early recipient of the advantages of the ERA law requiring equal opportunities for women in the workforce, I applaud Judge Doughty for recognizing Title IX is intended to create opportunities in sports for biological women that affords them opportunities in sports that would not be possible when competing against the physical strengths of men. At last, a legal mind applied the law as written.
