In 2019, two black nationalist members of a Black Hebrew Israelite hate group praised by the New York Times and the Washington Post staged a domestic terrorist attack on a Kosher market in Jersey City.
Senator Cory Booker didn’t even stop his campaign and top Democrats showed virtually no interest.
Some local Dems supported the murder of Jews.
After a black nationalist attack on a Jewish supermarket in Jersey City, a member of the Jersey City Board of Education defended the murder of two Jewish people and a Latino employee.
Drugs and guns are planted in the Black community,” Joan Terrell Paige ranted on Facebook.
The two Black Hebrew Israelite killers, the former community organizer wrote, “went directly to the kosher supermarket. I believe they knew they would come out in body bags. What is the message they were sending? Are we brave enough to explore the answer to their message? Are we brave enough to stop the assault on the Black communities of America?
The Hudson County Democratic Black Caucus argued that her statement has heightened awareness around issues that must be addressed.
“She said nothing wrong. Everything she said is the truth,” declared Carolyn Oliver Fair, the head of the North Jersey Chapter of the National Action Network. The NAN is Al Sharpton’s organization and has been addressed by every important Democrat from Barack Obama to Nancy Pelosi to Elizabeth Warren.
Considering Sharpton’s role in the Crown Heights Pogrom, this isn’t surprising.
Sharpton is probably the most successful racist in the country. Every single top Democrat has courted his support. And here’s Kamala condemning hate at a Buffalo funeral while standing next to an ugly bigot.
I cannot even begin to express, our collective pain as a nation for what you are feeling in such an extreme way, to not only lose someone that you love, but through an act of extreme violence and hate, Harris said. And I do believe that our nation right now is experiencing an epidemic of hate.
An epidemic of hate indeed. Perhaps Rev. Al can fill her in on that.
And it means then also, in that strength, understanding we will not allow small people to create fear in our communities that we will not be afraid to stand up for what is right, to speak up even when it may be difficult to hear and speak, she said.
So long as it doesn’t mean actually condemning any of the bigots on your own side.
