No one seems to have much enthusiasm on the Dem side for a campaign autopsy. Maybe because it’s all too obvious what went wrong, but with Kamala a frontrunner in 2028, some Dems in her circle keep trying to claim she ran as good a campaign as possible and that her defeat was all Biden’s fault. And while Biden gets his share of the blame, it takes a lot to pretend that the only problem with her candidacy was Joe’s senility.
In the midst of one of these little defensive narratives, there’s a very telling anecdote.
Sitting next to Walz in a chair that seemed to place her below him and heaping praise on Biden’s record, Harris did not look like a candidate seeking the highest office in the land… for the rest of the campaign, her team required that she be provided a chair that met certain specifications: “Leg height no less than 15 inches; floor to top of seat height no less than 18.9 inches; arms on chairs may not be very high, arms must fall at a natural height; chairs must be firm.”
No matter how big the chair, Kamala always looked small. She still does. The chair is emblematic of her dependency on props to make her seem bigger, more important than she actually was and is.
She did not look like a candidate seeking the highest office in the land, sound like a candidate seeking the highest office in the land, have any ideas like a candidate seeking the highest office in the land, or have the “gravitas” of a candidate seeking the highest office in the land. So there’s that.
Maybe she could’ve hired Melania as a stunt double? Then again, no, she couldn’t have.
And she seems every bit as petty as the Hildebeast..
Kamala custom chairs should come with a warning: “Occupants may be smaller than they appear, mentally and physically,.”
And with her election record, they’d need to be erotic chairs for all her…ahem…political positions.
All of the positions that Harris was elevated to were the result of the positions she assumed.
I think that her rear has a habit of swallowing seats.
Her rear isn’t the only part of her that swallows. Ask “Downtown” Willie Brown.

Better to keep your mouth closed and thought to be stupid, than to open it and prove you are. Opening her mouth to advance herself in politics, has been a career trait…..in many ways.
Chair height would be the only objective basis for Harris to look down on others.
She could always wear a Tulsi Gabbard or Pam Bondi mask. Even a monkey mask would make her look smarter.
Another good topic. I never thought much about it until recently, but now I notice more and more short people one would never expect wearing elevator shoes to look taller, even some of the roughest, gruffest German generals in WW2. I guess they have some kind of inferiority complex about their height.
Thanks for mentioning “elevator shoes.” My father loved to joke about this…he was a tall enough man and maybe thats is why he could joke about it. I hadn’t heard those words in years.
Yes, shorter men -and maybe now women too- are not as respected as those who are taller.
I never understood the Napoleon complex. At 5 ‘9 I’m short but I don’t even think about it. And I think it’s weird when women worry about it. Petite or tall, chicks look good.

Biden was deeply underwater on issues polled at the top of voter concerns. She was asked what she would do differently than Biden – Nothing comes to mind. OK maybe she can’t think on the fly (which is bad for a president). She was asked the same question later and still couldn’t think of anything different after given time for her and her staff to ponder the question. She claimed no positions as her own. She plagiarized the Biden reelection campaign. As displayed by the word salads, she can’t express herself (or realizes her actual beliefs would sink her).
The only way I can agree to her campaign as good as possible is starting with the premise that she was a horrible candidate and the Dem far left demanded far left positions. It’s not that the campaign was so bad, but that she and the radical left was. The first was known since at least late 2019 well before the main 2020 primary season. The second can be seen with the Israel-Hamas situation. You can only go so far trying to polish a poo.
Without as much voter ID as we had last time, Harris would have won.
She has only been promoted for thinking on the fly.
To be fair to Kamala Harris, said she wanted to bring joy back to America. And she did!
