Most people generally don’t know who the vice president is. With 51/39 disapproval/approval, Kamala should be so lucky. Joe Biden has a record unpopularity and still Republicans are actually attacking her because she’s even more unpopular. Kamala thought she was the heir only to realize she’s the albatross. And so she defaults to her usual manner of spewing intensive gobs of self-nullifying victimhood.

Harris said the Republicans’ attacks against her abilities to serve in office are “not new,” noting that she was the first woman elected district attorney of San Francisco and the first woman to be attorney general of California, as well as having “represented 1 in 8 Americans” as a senator and being the first female vice president.
That’s an identity politics resume, not a response. It’s robotic stuff like this that makes Kamala a spiritual successor to Hillary Clinton. Except that underneath the fake poisonous smiles, Hillary does have a personality. Kamala is like looking a fish in the eye. It’s a big eye but nothing is going on inside there.
But yes, no one can deny the fact that having the right political connections and choice of bed partners allowed her to fail upward through a series of roles while accomplishing nothing of any distinction.
“They feel the need to attack because they’re scared that we will win based on the merit of the work that Joe Biden and I, and our administration, has done,” Harris said.

In political campaigns, people generally attack candidates to stop them from winning. Kamala has coined another one of her completely meaningless cliches. Campaigns often attack weak points and that’s what she is. There’s no reason to normally attack a veep unless they’re a weakness.
Asked about Biden’s age and whether she’s ready to take over, Kamala went on a talking point word salad tangent.
“Yes I am, if necessary. But Joe Biden is going to be fine. And let me tell you something: I work with Joe Biden every day. Under Joe Biden’s leadership, we have transformed and are in the process of transforming America’s infrastructure with an historic investment in, not only roads and bridges, but high speed internet, what we are doing around issues like lead pipes, and I could go on and on.”
No doubt.
Republicans aren’t afraid of her, they find her useful. Like her inability to manage a simple question about abortion.
Pressed by Brennan on what week of pregnancy that abortion access should be cut off, Harris called for restoring the protections of Roe v. Wade.
“Let me be very clear,” Harris said. “From day one, the president has been clear, I have been clear. We need to put back the protections that are in Roe v. Wade into law. Since the Supreme Court took it, Congress has the power and ability to pass legislation to put those protections back in law, and Joe Biden will sign that bill. So that is what we want.”
Asked whether abortion access protections should be limited to a specific week of pregnancy, Harris reiterated her call to restore the protections of Roe v. Wade as she declined to specify a timeline.
“We’re not trying to do anything that did not exist before June of last year,” she said in reference to the month when the Supreme Court overturned the landmark ruling that guaranteed a constitutional right to abortion.
Brennan then pressed Harris about Republicans’ accusations about her stance on abortion: “I’m asking you for the specifics there, because Republicans say the lack of a precise date in cutting it off — you know this — they say that allows Democrats to perform abortions up until, you know, birth.”
Harris said the notion is “ridiculous” and a “mischaracterization of the point,” before Brennan again asked whether she needs to be more “precise” about acceptable limits on abortion access.
A politician saying, “let me be clear” is code for “let me avoid specifics and reframe the issue”, but even so, Kamala is just really bad at it.
Then there’s this hilarious exchange on immigration.
MARGARET BRENNAN: But that migration data according to CBP is showing migrants from Guatemala are up. Honduras, Ecuador, Peru. So, when the border crossings went down earlier in the summer, the administration said it was due to your policies working. Now, they’re going back up as they did in the month of August. Does that show the strategy is no longer working?
VICE PRESIDENT HARRIS: Absolutely not. What it means is that we have to stay focused on a number of issues related to the irregular migration that again, we’re seeing around the world and America is not immune. You know my philos-

VICE PRESIDENT HARRIS: Overall, we are seeing progress, but there is- we’re not going to have a constant, there are going to be fluctuations. That is normal, just like the weather fluctuates and- and circumstances fluctuate, such as elections in those regions and what that might mean. It doesn’t mean that we keep our foot off the gas, we have to stay focused and understand there has to be a long-term strategy, as well as a short-term strategy. And here’s the- the bottom–
MARGARET BRENNAN: So was it too early to say that the strategy was working when the numbers went down for two months?
VICE PRESIDENT HARRIS: My point is that focusing on root causes, and doing the work that we have been doing to bring U.S. investment into those countries, in a way that is supportive of their economies and supportive of fighting corruption, actually works.
This is terrifying only in the sense of how unready Kamala is to even perform the most basic duties of a political surrogate, let alone any position with actual responsibilities.
