What’s the deal with converts to Islam?
Last April, a teenager in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, named Alexander Scott Mercurio was caught plotting jihad massacres in local churches, “using weapons, including knives, firearms, and fire.” On New Year’s Eve in 2022, a 19-year-old named Trevor Bickford traveled from his home in Wells, Maine, to Times Square, where he attacked three NYPD officers with a machete. In April 2021, a Zion, Illinois, man named Edward Schimenti got thirteen and a half years in prison for aiding the Islamic State (ISIS).
These are just three men who are on a long and ever-lengthening list of converts to Islam who turn to terrorism, even in the United States, and are largely ignored by the establishment media. As everyone knows or should know by now, the media is interested only in shoring up its narrative, not in reporting actual facts. Now another young man has joined their ranks.
Las Vegas’ KLAS reported Thursday that Joshua Robles, 16, has been “accused of plotting an ISIS-inspired terror attack.” After Robles was arrested last November, prosecutors considered him to be so dangerous that they asked that his bail be set at a million dollars; Las Vegas Justice Court Pro Temp Judge Lauren Diefenbach, however, instead decided to set it at $10,000, “adding should Robles post bail, he would be placed on house arrest with electronic monitoring.” Oh. That’ll fix everything.

Ultimately, Robles was deemed to be so dangerous that bail was set at $1 million after all. That’s good, as he doesn’t appear to be a choirboy: “On Aug. 23, staff at the Clark County Detention Center found a handwritten note in Robles’ cell, which included an ISIS flag and phrases such as, ‘Welcome with death.’”
This was after a sheet of notebook paper was found in his bedroom at the time of his arrest; Robles had completed a faithful recreation of the Islamic State (ISIS) flag, which features in Arabic the Islamic profession of faith: “There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet.” Underneath that, the earnest young convert wrote in all caps: “DEATH TO JEWS.”
Around that time, Robles was proudly posting online about his enthusiasm for his newfound faith: “Peace by [sic] upon all brothers who see this,” he wrote. “I am here to announce that I will be starting lone wolf operations in Las Vegas against the enemies of Allah.” When police raided his home, they found “components they said could be used to make an explosive device.”
Authorities think that Robles was “building explosive devices similar to the ones that killed three and injured hundreds in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.” There is some indication that he planned to carry out an arson jihad attack on New Year’s Day 2024. He was also doing online searches for “information and floorplans for Chaparral High School in the east valley.” If he had managed to carry out a jihad attack there, police would still be saying that they didn’t know his motives.
Prosecutors explained that Robles’ “radicalization to violent extremist has developed over several years and continues despite his detention status.” That’s no surprise, since America’s prison system, like every other institution in the country, is committed to the proposition that Islam is entirely peaceful and benign. Nothing whatsoever is done to disabuse young men like Robles of their jihadist sentiments; instead, such inmates are given Qur’ans and allowed to pray regularly with other Muslim inmates. Authorities think this will help them discover the true, peaceful Islam. Instead, it all too often breeds more hardened jihadis.
Robles has been a bad actor for quite a while: “In 2020, while in junior high, defendant was threatened to shoot up the school. In March of 2023, defendant was created a list of ISIS leader and pledged allegiance to ISIS. He also announced the creation of a local terrorist cell. By May of 2023, Defendant was advising an unknown individual on how to obtain news on ISIS through email and was giving instructions on how to travel in the Middle East.” Yet while authorities know all about all this, none of them seem to care about where or how he converted to Islam, or about how he came to believe that his new religion required him to do violence to non-Muslims.
Until such issued are addressed, and addressed realistically, we will see many more young men like Joshua Robles.
Unfortunately it appears that Islam is the most virile of major social groups, Israel would be competitive if it weren’t for the mass of Leftists dragging it down to estrogen gardens forever.
The irony here is that if this kid had purchased a bible with his credit card, he’d be on an FBI terrorist watch list. Go figure.

Learn from history. About 30 years ago, Israel signed the “Oslo” deal. One of the things it did was to legitimize the plo arab terrorists, then led by Yassir Arafat and put police uniforms on his plo terrorists. Arafat’s plo terrorists gained control of parts of Judea and Samaria, voluntarily surrendered by Israel and sold it as it will make piece happen.. Today arab terrorist attacks on Jews come from those areas placed under plo control. Been that way for a long time new. Everyone should read Townhall contributor Kurt Schlichter’s book called “The Attack”. In this book he details a possible coordinated jihad attack in the U.S. over three days by small groups of armed Muslims and cosplaying white wannabe terrorists, first against businesses, second against Americans in their homes, and finally against infrastructure. The attacks take place mostly in the unarmed blue state cities and suburbs. The jihadis do not want to be confronted by armed Americans

Some 25 years ago (mid-1990’s), the PBS program Frontline featured an episode entitled “American Jihad,” which revealed the radical teachings of some imams and the growing threat of domestic Islamic terrorism. This was before 9/11. I’ve searched for it for years but it seems to have been memoryholed. 9/11 showed just how vulnerable we are and drove home that certain Islamic belief systems pose a major threat. No other religion in the USA comes close. So why is Islam immune? Call me paranoid but again I suspect an engineered chaos whose only cure is totalitarianism.

The admin has been letting in these wannabe jihadis for the last three and a half years. Before that it was the Obama admin.
They are here and they constitute an army. CAIR says they want to build an army of 50,000, and get at least 40-50 elected to Congress. And the Islamo/Democrats will encourage it. They have been accumulating arms as well and hiding them in the mosques. It’s what they do in Europe….why wouldn’t they do the same here.

Islamic Jihad is formed in the bedrock of Islamic belief which is adorned by Mohammad with justified violence and baseless hatred. Any disgruntled human being can use this barbarous religion as a means of violent actions against others. That we have so many availing themselves of this cover for baseless hatred shows us just how far freedom has been debased into the cauldron of escalating violence against anyone with whom you have a difference.
Islam, by its holy writings is violent, barbaric, and psychopathic. It is the Islamic lens; intolerant, hateful, bigoted, women-hating, subjugating and feral. Is it any wonder that many becoming affiliated with it are as illiterate as their “prophet”?
Now that Christianity, Christians, and the Bible are under such negative ‘atmospheres’ in the West, I expect we Christians to grow in our comprehension of Christ’s presence in our lives. The half repentant will wash out and the faithful will deepen. So to the skeptics, militant actors, and fellow haters I say, “Bring it!”

They obviously convert in order to justify acting out what’s been bottled up inside and ready to explode, possibly for years.. Once they convert, they can let it all loose. It has nothing to do with any ideology, except the parts that give them permission to do what it is they really want to do, i.e., violence.

Islam is a lot like Communism: it’s a collective of resentful, covetous people who believe:
1) they’re superior to all non-believers,
2) all non-believers are non-persons,
3) they are owed things by non-persons,
4) All ends are justified in obtaining what they’re owed.
There’s a concept in Islam that’s very similar to one under Communism. There are two houses – dar al Harb (the house of war – symbolizing all countries not governed by Sharia law) and dar al Islam
(the house of peace, aka, all nations governed by Sharia law). Only when Islam destroys the house of war (everyone but them) can there be peace on earth. Of course, if that happened they would just continue to war among themselves, as they always have, until everyone is dead. Then I guess the cockroaches win.
