It was always understood that anyone the Biden administration chose to succeed Adm. Gilday would be worse. And considering how bad Gilday was, that’s a real high hill to climb.
Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Michael Gilday announced that he wanted to change the Navy. While the title of the video of his remarks was “One Team, One Navy”, its divisive message was that the Navy was racist and only “conversations” about race would help.
Gilday “shared” videos of naval personnel claiming that America was racist and that they were angry. “Being African-American in America is not fun,” an aviation technician claimed.
A lieutenant commander claimed that he had experienced “systemic racism” and “implicit bias”. A white corpsman urged that “we can stand up for change” and declared that, “tomorrow’s Navy will finally stand on the right side of history when we realize that black lives matter.”
“I have become very aware of my privilege as a white person,” a female musician confessed. Then she claimed that “this country has a history of systemic racism” and called for creating a “country that is more equitable and just.”
The video closed with Gilday vowing to eliminate “systemic racism” with a new task force.
Rear Admiral Alvin Holsey, one of the few black admirals, headed Task Force One Navy whose report swapped out traditional naval tradition for fighting “racism, sexism, ableism and other structural and interpersonal biases”. TF1N members vowed to advocate for “all lived experiences and intersectional identities of every Sailor”.
Officers were told that it was their job to “advocate for change”.
Now, here’s Adm. Lisa Franchetti whom Biden chose as the next chief of naval operations at a DEI event.
Commander, Naval Air Forces (CNAF) hosted the 2nd annual CNAF Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Summit Nov. 1-2, 2022 in Coronado, Calif.
“Through this conference, we are reaffirming that all members of the Naval Aviation community are responsible to advocate for each other, to embrace and support differences, and to work to create an inclusive environment for each person on our teams,” said Franchetti. “Our force is a reflection of America, and the rich fabric our nation offers; the talent we need to deliver warfighting advantage. Today’s theme of ally-ship is a key enabler for building inclusive teams.”
Franchetti wasn’t even the recommended choice, but Biden decided for another “historic” pick over someone capable of confronting China.
Who needs to beat China when we can focus on delivering a “warfighting advantage” by building “inclusive teams” instead?
Nominating the first female member of the Joint Chiefs is a historic move for a president who has prioritized diversity since the beginning of his administration. At the Pentagon alone, Biden has nominated the first Black Defense secretary (Austin), the first female deputy Defense secretary (Kathleen Hicks) and the first Black officer to lead a military service (Air Force Gen. C.Q. Brown).
At least when we lose to China, this bunch will be able to argue that it’s because they’re a bunch of racists.
Isn’t that how they explain everything?
It certainly is their constant whine.
As for this:
“ traditional naval tradition for fighting “racism, sexism, ableism and other structural and interpersonal biases”.
Ableism? Does that mean they believe that only white people are able to defend themselves? That coloured skin prevents them?
The US is now a country run by sexual deviants and old ladies.
Franchetti is a woman? it looks like a tranny. A very ugly tranny.
But I’m sure it’s very competent. NOT.
I wonder if she realizes that her role is to destroy the Navy?
She probably relishes it.
I think all the ships – and government buildings for that matter – should now fly the rainbow flag. That’s who we are, and there is no point in hiding it.
Perhaps they want half of the navy to be disabled. They may end up disabling the whole service.
Ableism? Do they mean if you are a disabled person you can be a member of the military?
Ableism usually refers to discrimination against the disabled, to include people with mental issues and disabilities. People criticizing Fetterman’s mental incapacity were accused of ableism. They could be talking about lack of proficiency, or physical ability. They’ve lowered standards on just about everything, already. Should work out great. /s
The British Navy went through some disastrous periods in its history also. Fascinating history really, what bad leadership can do.
I should have made it more clear, how bad leadership can lead to disastrous consequences. Happened several times in the history of the British Navy.
For example they had some bad rules of engagement that strangled British naval warfighting for about a century. It was finally Nelson and some other bold officers who broke out of the stranglehold.
Imagine being a cabin boy in the old British Navy. Yikes! “Oh cabin boy. I’m a manly man and I have manly needs. Come hither.”
Victory at sea goes to the Navy with the greatest expertise in the employment [ or is that deployment? ] of rainbow pompoms.
Heratio Nelson himself never disputed this.
This is why it is so necessary to protect the supply chain of gay accoutrements. We can’t risk letting China choke off vital supplies in times of global crisis. Twink rights are human rights.
We have to keep our priorities straight, right? Like the Village People. “In the Navy.”
I recently read a book on Horatio Nelson. Incredible. Well, here’s a point that struck me just now. He was almost “born to sea”, went to sea at a very young age, had all kinds of adventures, learned all kinds of stuff. Can’t beat people like that when it comes to sea power. Spent almost all his life at sea.
Doubtful that the lady has such sea experience.
This woman is highly skilled and a key implementer in leadership.
Other flunkies set the charges and run the cables back, she handles the detonator.
Nelson targeted Napoleon’s Navy. She’s taking out ours.
Anchors aweigh.
Anchor is right. Could you imagine how fast you’d sink with a skag like her? She puts the ug in ugly. Just think of waking up and seeing that face next to you. That could drive any guy to suicide.
“Deployment of rainbow pompoms”–LOL
So dose t his old bat want us to start using Sails again? from which nuthouse did Biden find this one? Once again Biden sticks us with the nuts and screwballs who belong in a nuthouse and Biden belongs in Prison with Clinton(Bill)and Obama
“Ally-ship?” Why do lefties all seem semi literate?
omg, I had no idea what “Ally-ship” meant, so I finally gave in and looked it up. It is some kind of diabolical leftist program, even worse than I imagined, not that I can explain it.
I’ll have to look it up. I had no idea it had any real meaning other than sub literacy.
OMG!!!!!! I just looked it up and now I have to take a shower! And slather sanitizer all over me!
Lefties are insane, and not in a sympathetic way. Oh, boy. I’m still shuddering.
Drop the pretense and have China pay these types directly. Next: a going out of business sale or a giveaway as in Afghanistan.
Yeah, have a yard sale. “Hey, how much for the nukes?”
Our top military and naval appointees sound like characters out of Gilbert and Sullivan operettas.
Unfortunately, they are not a satire but our very dangerous reality.
Gilbert and Sullivan actually captured the absurdities of the British Navy and the British system very well.
One example that occurred to me was the promotions list. At some points the only way someone on the list could get promoted was if someone in front of him on the list died. Resulted in lots of octogenarian admirals and such.
You should watch “Hail Caesar” by the Coen brothers. Channing Tatum plays an actor in a musical prancing around like a fruity Sailor Jack, Cracker Jack boy. It’s hilarious. It has these dance moves where the guy’s faces are going into the other guy’s crotches. Kind of a jab at Gene Kelly but hey, that guy had to be gay.
Do NOT confirm this leftist!
I can only speak from the enlisted side of the equation in the Navy during the 80’s but, race relations were never better in my lifetime than then. An amphibious assault ship’s (LSD) crew compliment wasn’t large either, and long underway deployments required a cooperative effort on everyone’s part. Decompressing after drills, we gathered together for video games. We functioned as a team. One ship. One goal.
I’ve often thought of those days, in light of the turbulence created by Obama. In the dim light of DEI, I can’t imagine how a ship could possibly function efficiently…and that’s probably the overall idea. Probably about as well as race relations are in America right now. Thanks, Hussein.
We are going to pay dearly for this stupidity.
Yeah, our navy is going to end up on the ocean floor.
If the US military had been run like this back before the Civil War we would be two nations.
Yeah, the South had most of the best officers and supposedly the best soldiers the world had ever seen. Lincoln had no clue about military matters. By blind chance he hit on US Grant, an untutored officer who turned out to have a military instinct that amounted to genius. Still, the South could have won, if Stonewall Jackson had not been killed. Up to Gettysburg Lee had the advantage.
Lee was a good man, too, he hated slavery but loved his homeland and fought for it. And he was a very effective general in a very bad war.
He reminds of Rommel, who as a history buff like you knows, hated Nazism but loved his Fatherland..
There are so many giants in history. I guess that’s why we still remember them.
I remember you talking about the great Greek philosophers yesterday. I mean, WTF, 400 AD or so and we still remember what they wrote?
