How crazy are leftists? This crazy: a couple of American cities have decided to display the Palestinian flag to show their solidarity with the bloodthirsty jihad terrorists who murdered 1,200 Israelis on Oct. 7 — no, wait, that’s incorrect.
The preening moralists responsible for the flag displays in both cities would insist that they are standing with the people of Gaza, whom Hamas most emphatically does not represent, despite being elected overwhelmingly in the last elections held there. That was in 2006, but Hamas has not had to deal with any unrest from disgruntled Gazans since then.
The first instance of this particularly nauseating example of virtue-signaling came on Monday from the bucolic hamlet of North Andover, Mass. WHDH reported that North Andover High School was the site of a “lively Select Board meeting” that approved a proposal to fly the flag of countless murderous jihadis over the Town Common.
Oops, there I go again. There were people at this meeting who objected to the idea of the Palestinian flag flying over the Town Common. A rabbi, Iden Irelander, stated, “It’s a big deal for us to see the Palestinian flag that many of us think represents the attempted genocide of the Jewish people. It basically represents Hamas, since they are the elected ruling party in Gaza.”
But a supporter of the proposal batted this back, saying, “It’s a flag that represents its people, it’s a flag that represents a nation, the heritage of the people, their traditions, their culture and it doesn’t represent a terrorist group.”
That sounds swell until one remembers that “Palestine” is an artificial nation and people with no distinctive traditions or culture of its own, created solely as a weapon to be used against Israel. As “The Palestinian Delusion“ details, no one ever spoke of a “Palestinian people” before 1964.
The Palestinian Arabs are not distinguishable linguistically, culturally, ethnically, or religiously from the Arabs of Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan, and no one spoke of them as a nation of their own until this became a useful means (devised by the KGB and Yasir Arafat) to counter the popularity of Israel as a courageous underdog facing off against twenty-two massive Arab states and Muslim non-Arab states as well.
These facts show the hollowness of the North Andover resident’s claims that the Palestinian flag “represents a nation, the heritage of the people, their traditions, their culture.” There is no Palestinian heritage, tradition, or culture other than hating Israel and wanting to destroy it. That’s why the Palestinian nationality was fabricated, and that’s why it exists.
Nevertheless, no one said any of that at the North Andover Select Board meeting, if anyone there knew it at all. And in Dearborn Heights, Mich., the same thing has been going on.
Dearborn Heights is next to Dearborn, which has a majority population of Muslims and Arabs (there are quite a few Christian Arabs there as well). Dearborn Heights doesn’t have any such population, but apparently the people there don’t want Hamas supporters in Dearborn to start think that their neighbors are “Islamophobic,” so on Tuesday, they took action.
The Daily Wire reported that “a local government-owned sign welcoming people into the city of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, was adorned with Palestinian flags Tuesday.” Dearborn’s TCD News explained on Instagram: “This morning, in another show of solidarity, Palestinian flags were placed on the ‘Welcome to Dearborn Heights’ sign along Ford Road, highlighting the city’s support for the people of Palestine.”
The Instagram post drew a slew of unhappy comments, including: “Okay but where’s the American flag[?]” “F*** that remember yall all are American first.” “We need more AMERICAN FLAGS in these [people’s] hands they all live in America, where’s the American flag tho?”
Well, yes. That’s a legitimate and important point, but the worst part of this is not that the flag of another nation, or whatever it is, is being flown in American cities. The worst part is that this is happening as pro-Palestinian demonstrations are becoming increasingly open in their genocidal anti-Israel declarations, and despite bland dismissals of the objection that the Palestinian flag is inextricably bound up with Hamas, there really isn’t much of anything that Palestinians are known for other than hatred and terror.
And now that hatred and terror has the official endorsement of two U.S. cities. Watch for more to fall into line.
Solidarity with the genocidal terrorists is very very telling.
Those are the kind of trash people who should be removed from the society one way or another. They are all a national security risk.
Unfortunately, the African National Congress rulers of South Africa are also anti-Semitic, and have blackened the country’s name by their public support of HAMAS.
An American city festooned with “Palestinian” flags is like a Czech town in the Sudetenland festooned with Nazis flags in 1938.
When I traveled all over the middle east 45 years ago everywhere the common people had a saying “First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people.’ i.e. first the Jews and then the Christians. And saying this they would make a throat cutting gesture.
Doesn’t raising a Flag on a piece of land, signify that it is a Conquered Land? One of the most famous Flag raising photo is the Iwo Jima Flag.
About ten years ago, a group of Mexican students at the University of New Mexico, ruled by Democrats, like our state has been for ninety years, last in education, took the U.S. Flag off the administration building and RAISED THE MEXICAN FLAG… ON CINCO DE MAYO, happened to be a weekend. A U.S. SOLDIER, a student, saw the flag, brought it down, and ripped it to pieces. Atzlan, a Mexican student group that claims that the entire SW belongs to Mexico, raised it TO SIGNIFY THE UNM LAND WAS THEIRS. GUESS WHO GOT INTO TROUBLE?
Now THEREDNATION.ORG, the group that started the anti-Columbus Day crusade, now national with IPD, is a Communist group, by their own mission statement, CLAIM UNM AND THE U.S. is stolen land so let’s hope for a protest between these two groups to see whose land it is. That would be fun, maybe even Pay-per-View.
THE RAISING OF THE PALESTINIAN FLAG ON A LAND, like these cities are doing, means they have taken over that land, AND THEY WILL FIGHT, YES LITERALLY FIGHT, to keep that flag up and they’ll use the Justice System to help them since any attempt, or taking the flag down, will be labeled a HATE CRIME!
THE SUPREME COURT labeled that burning a U.S. Flag, is free speech. If anyone dares to burn a rainbow flag, Mexican flag, now a Palestinian flag, they will be arrested for a HATE CRIME!
We’ve all seen Mexicans burning the U.S. flag, free speech, in their protests. Imagine if someone across the street burned a Mexican flag. We can’t defend ours but they’ll kill for theirs and get away with it!
Like American Jews that vote for Jew Hating Democrats, the people of North Andover, Mass. and Dearbornistan Michigan will soon be voting for their own executioners.
And these idiots will find out when it’s too late the enormous mistake they are making.
July 4th 2022 my town, near a small city and an outer suburb of a very major city flew Ukrainian flag on every post. And there were many along the main street. There were also some American flags.
I was outraged but heard no objections, I assume there was passive acceptance. What does Ukraine have to do with July 4th? Nothing!
If I see a palestinian flag hoisted by this town, I will try to find a way to sue.
Those States need to totally vote out all the Democrats from Governor to Mayor anyone who support Terrorists belong in Prison for life and even longer
America just doesn’t get it and apparently never will.
Rather than dredge up the history of the fake Palestinians, Mr. Spencer, you would better serve your readers by shining light on the character of Arabs in general, the casual cruelty, the contempt for the truth when lies better serve their ends, the hatred and fear of a modern world that wants nothing to do with their seventh century mishegass.
He does shine lights continuously on the matter, with his books, articles, and more, continuously. A scholar on the subject.
Given the demographic trends–massive immigration from the third world–coupled with the political trends among young people, the future will see a lot more of this, as Spencer says. The temptation for many people is to withdraw, go MGTOW, buy average in remote locales, etc–and bow out, but it’s really time to fight and fight hard.
Ha, I was hoping that it was Highland Park, Michigan. That would’ve frosted the asses of the queers who cried when the city wouldn’t fly their freak flag. Highland Parks city council is all Muslims.
There may be a Palestinian flag, but neither Gaza nor the West Bank comprises a nation.
The Palestinians have refused on at least five occasions to accept a two-state solution.
In Hasas’ charter, it is crystal clear that their only purpose is to destroy Israel and commit genocide against the Jews.
Gaza has not been occupied since 2005. The Hamas leadership has three billionaires, while the Gazans remain destitute.
It is disgusting that so many support a group as vile as Hamas. Celebrating the atrocities of October 7th by raising their flag indicates that these. towns have no shame. Those who joyfully accept Hamas’s crimes display that they do not know the real issues. These supporters are complicit in the evil of Hamas.
If you support evil, then you are evil.
What is more frightening is that so many willingly support what the Nazis called the “Final Solution.”
I heard someone ask an interesting question; Where did all these “palestinian” flags come from all of a sudden? Some0ne quipped in reply; Target. It does beg the question, though.
The “palestian” flag should have a beheaded baby superimposed on it.
