This encapsulates the utter moral bankruptcy of the Left in two stories.
The media desperately dismissed, spun and whitewashed Governor Ralph Northam, the Dem boss in Virginia, signing a ball into law that, would legalize infanticide.
When asked if he supported the bill, Gov. Northam argued that decisions by physicians can be made to allow an infant to die even after birth.
“If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen,” he said. “The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”
Then, desperate to change the subject, the media zoomed in on its current obsession with blackface.
A photo from Gov. Ralph Northam’s medical school yearbook shows him and another person in racist costumes — one wearing blackface and one a Ku Klux Klan robe and hood, though it was not clear which person was the future governor.
The photo, which The Virginian-Pilot obtained a copy of Friday from the Eastern Virginia Medical School library, comes from the 1984 yearbook, the year Northam graduated.
It’s 2018 now. Or 34 years later.
We can all agree that wearing racist costumes, seriously or in jest, is wrong. We should also be able to agree that unless Northam has been doing this sort of thing a little more recently than before many of us were born, it’s not a serious issue.
Infanticide on the other hand is.
The media wants to pivot to racism. So let’s discuss how many black babies have been killed by abortion. And how Sanger and the abortion industry intersected with eugenics from the very beginning. And how it targeted and still targets certain minority groups. Back then it was Jews and Italians. (Sanger was Irish and didn’t think that they, unlike Jews and Italians, were human weeds in need of a little eugenic management.) And Sanger spoke before the KKK. The actual KKK. Not some bozos posing in a costume in a yearbook.
But that would be an inconvenient conversation. So we’ll change it to more Kavanaugh nonsense about what Northam was doing in 1984.
It beats discussing what he’s doing in 2018.
