The media doesn’t exist as a newsgathering operation. It’s a narrative engine. And the narrative is glorifying those on the Left and smearing those on the Right. The distinction between say, NBC News, and Twitter or the YouTube comments section is non-existent.

The only meaningful distinction is the amount of cash and resources the media has to push its excercises in contempt.

Take this NBC News garbage. Please.

This incredible expose reveals that Giuliani forgot his iPhone passcode. Incredible. Clearly he can’t be a cybersecurity adviser. Because cybersecurity advisers never forget their passwords. Ever.

It’s never happened.

That’s actually the top cybersecurity expert qualification. Never forgetting a password.

So yes, this is a stupid, partisan cheap shot thinly disguised as a news story. It’s also typical of what the media churns out these days.

It’s a Twitter hot take expanded to full story size, with interviews and the other glittery tinsel of journalism thrown in, without the substance, and with no purpose except to promote a narrative of contempt toward the political opposition. And that is what the media is now for.
