The media here is as subtle as a North Korean journalist asking Kim what his favorite flower is.
And the AP, which has taken the lead in Orwellian rephrasings and rebrandings of things like rioting and looting, is become one of the worst offenders because it sets the tone for so much of the media, and its content, which is still framed as objective, feeds into so many local papers.
Now after generations of referring to adding extra justices to the Supreme Court as ‘court packing’, the AP has gotten the memo and is rebranding.
Bullock said that if Coney Barrett was confirmed, he would be open to measures to depoliticize the court, including adding judges to the bench, a practice critics have dubbed packing the courts.
Adding justices who agree with your political agenda is depoliticizing the courts like stealing all the money from the state budget is balancing the budget.
But Democrats are obviously going to try and rebrand a toxic agenda for a one-party state. The problem is that the Associated Press has gotten the memo and, like chunks of the media, has decided to pretend that “court packing” is a term Republicans made up last week and that changing the size of the court is a politically neutral move to get politics out of the judiciary that most moderates should support.
