The behavior of military leaders during the riots has, in some ways, been worse than the behavior of national security figures during Obamagate. The latter is a case of deep partisan corruption of the national security state, but in the former, military leaders have made it quite clear that they will not defend this country, or even the White House, against radical mobs determined to burn it down and destroy it.

This is a threat that goes deep. It makes the Insurrection Act meaningless.

Military leaders are now ignoring President Trump and focusing on mollifying the Left to preserve their own careers. This is unacceptable.

Forget the culture war for a moment. 

The Obama administration badly corrupted the military leadership over the past eight years, replacing leaders committed to defending the country with those who pledged their allegiance to whatever ideological talking points are trending in the media and among the smart set.

This is where we are now. And it’s a graver crisis than most realize.

If you think Obamagate was bad, imagine its equivalent among the military. And remember those fantasies of a coup. They may not be so fantastic after all when top military officials blatantly disregard orders from the White House and collaborate with the radicals.

There needs to be a major housecleaning. The sooner the better.
