Last month, I wrote that,
Inappropriate Nazi-Holocaust analogies are obnoxious, but they’re not anti-semitism. Accusing Jews of being the new Nazis for trying to survive is anti-semitism…. Leftist radicals aren’t just making inappropriate Holocaust analogies, they’re supporting the PLO and Hamas whose leaders not only deny the Holocaust, but are trying to perpetrate another Holocaust.
The “Everyone I Don’t Like is Hitler” ship sailed a while ago. Comparing everything to the Holocaust is inappropriate, but it’s not antisemitism.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene did the right thing in acknowledging that the analogy is inappropriate. There’s been no calls by the media for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez to apologize and no move by her to do so for tweeting garbage like this about border security measures, “These are concentration camps. According to concentration camp experts, people begin to die due to overcrowding, neglect, and shortage of resources.”
It’s not just AOC. This stuff was ubiquitous.
“Other governments have separated mothers and children,” Former CIA and NSA chief Michael Hayden wrote on Saturday, along with a black and white photo of the Birkenau concentration and death-camp in Poland.
The media ran multiple articles claiming that border security was like the Holocaust.
‘Never again’ means nothing if Holocaust analogies are always off limits – Washington Post
‘Never Again:’ Why protesters in Boston are comparing border detention facilities to concentration camps
Scholars ask DC museum to stop rejecting border camp comparisons
The media isn’t opposed to inappropriate Holocaust analogies. It believes it has a monopoly on them.
Rep. Greene apologizes for comparing face masks to Holocaust, but stands by comparison of Democrats to Nazi party – Washington Post
Don’t compare Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler. It belittles Hitler – Washington Post
Enough said.
