A mother, dad and son were arrested after officers responded to a welfare check to find a juvenile who appeared to be “cut haphazardly” with lumps on his face.
According to an arrest warrant, the victim told police his family attacked him for recently becoming a Christian. The family are Muslims, the warrant adds.
The victim told officers his mother, brother and father repeatedly punched him and spat in his face. Arrest records show his mother then took a knife and scratched the back of his right hand with it.
His family demanded he take back his Christianity belief and say he was a Muslim during the attacks, the arrest record adds. The victim said the abuse continued until law enforcement arrived at the home.
When officers saw the victim, he was “trembling and wide eyed” with “disheveled” hair. The boy was transported to a local hospital for treatment, arrest records state.
Officers responded to the welfare check at the Nashville home on Dec. 11 after the boy’s employer called police with concerns.
They started with some beatings and scratched him with a knife. Very moderate.
How are we dealing with this in Nashville? There’s no information on the family yet, but Nashville has been a hub for refugee resettlement. More recently large numbers of Afghans have poured into Nashville.

“Nashvegas”, as many of us RED state Tennesseans refer to Nashville, has become a big, BLUE dot of fake country music from every tofu-eating, man-bun-wearing out of state import that wants to be a “star”. With that importation comes everything else that makes a liberal BLUE city what we’re all familiar with. Local east Tennessee radio talk show hosts routinely warn against driving through Nashville, let alone staying there “unless you’re from out of state”. I guess their thought is they would already be familiar with liberal lunacy.
I can’t help but feel sorry for this boy however. While I’m happy about his Christian conversion (and Jesus never said it would be easy), he’ll probably never know the love of Christian parents and has a better chance of becoming a statistic and being indicative of the clash between religious cultures. I hope I’m wrong, but either way, this boy needs our prayers.

God bless the boy for having the courage of his convictions in becoming a Christian.. His parents abuse of their son for his decision shows what a barbarous religion Islam is.
I think your assessment is distinctly western. The idea of religion as a matter of conscience is foreign to every other religion having a god or gods. Even Jews punish severely those who leave Judaism. I know NAXALT, but it is true as a general rule.
English first names and muslim last names, something weird is going on with this family. They seem like moles that had an internal problem. I’m a little surprised this isn’t a murder investigation.
