Salam Al-Marayati compared Jihadists to Patrick Henry, denied that Hamas and Hezbollah are terrorist organizations, defended the leader of Islamic Jihad in America and even defended the bombing of the Marine Barracks in 1983.
“Yet this attack, for all the pain it caused, was not in a strict sense, a terrorist operation. It was a military operation, producing no civilian casualties – exactly the kind of attack that Americans might have lauded had it been directed against Washington’s enemies.”
So that made him the perfect go-to guy to get a quote on how the Boston Bombers, unlike every other Muslim terrorist group he defended in the past has nothing to do with Islam.
“It’s very disturbing to us all that our faces are being dragged into the mud by Muslim extremists and how we have to explain to our children what Islam is really about, and we have to explain to the American public what Islam is really about,” said Salam Al-Marayati, executive director of the Los Angeles-based Muslim Public Affairs Council.
Salam Al-Marayati did not consider Hamas or Hezbollah to be Muslim extremists. But the Boston bombers are. And didn’t he already explain to the American public what it’s all about?
Marayati first came to public attention in the late Nineties, when the Democrats’ then-leader in the House, Richard Gephardt, nominated him to serve on the National Commission on Terrorism — a nomination that Gephardt later withdrew when it emerged that Marayati had spoken sympathetically of violent jihad. In 1993, for example, Marayati had proclaimed, “When Patrick Henry said, ‘Give me liberty or give me death,’ that statement epitomized jihad.” Equally absurdly, he later analogized Islamic terrorists to “American freedom fighters hundreds of years ago [who] were also regarded as terrorists by the British.”
I should say that covers it. Muslim terrorists blowing up Americans in Boston are just like Patrick Henry.
Muslim leaders said their religion means peace and submission to the will of God, and an individual who calls themselves Muslim and who does not create peace within society is not a true believer.
So it would appear then that there are no true Muslims and Muslim terrorism doesn’t exist because Muslims don’t exist.
