A landlord stabbing his tenants in Chicago is being treated as a national story because the tenants are Muslim. But a Muslim deliberately driving into people in Long Beach, California, that’s a local crime story.
Even though the FBI is on the scene.
A 46-year-old man was being held on $2 million bail following a fatal traffic collision in Long Beach.
The suspect, identified as Khalid Yagobbi of Los Angeles, stands accused of traveling in his Chevrolet Bolt a high rate of speed when police say he allegedly drove through a red light and struck pedestrians and multiple vehicles in Long Beach.
When police arrived on scene, they found a female down in the roadway. She died at the scene and has since been identified as Romelia Aguilar, 60, of Long Beach.
Authorities said other individuals were injured and transported to the hospital for treatment. They were said to be in stable condition.
Yagobbi remained on scene and was transported to the Long Beach City Jail, where he has been booked on suspicion of murder.
“On behalf of the Long Beach Police Department, I offer my deepest condolences to the family of Romelia Aguilar for their loss,” said Chief of Police Wally Hebeish. “The violence and acts of terror abroad have generated concern and anxiety throughout our community, and this apparent act of violence has only added to that anxiety. The immediate response by our officers, detectives, and partners from the FBI has been instrumental in this investigation, and while there is no evidence indicating a nexus to the current conflict in the Middle East, we will remain vigilant as we continue investigating every aspect of this crime.”
So why isn’t this getting coverage outside of local media? Because, unlike the landlord stabbing, it’s politically inconvenient.

I keep hearing people say things like, “Once AI is truly let off the chain, we won’t be able to tell real stories from fake one’s. News media will become less than worthless.”
I’ve got news for those people. They don’t need to wait on AI for news to become worthless. Lack of reporting is no less sinister than imaginary, garbled or cherry-picked news stories, and it doesn’t take artificial intelligence to get there. All you have to do is turn on CNN right now to verify. We’re here, folks.
At this point, AI would probably write better, and more balanced articles than most msm reporters, lol. They’ve been incredibly dumbed down. That dem operative from the obama administration was right about that. But it’s more than that, they’re on board all the way to…

To be honest, I post some extremely crude comments and get away with it, though. Some stranger to this site was really pissed off about that. He said I was the most offensive person he’d ever encountered online, or something like that. I guess I’m number one in his book! 🙂

Dog bites man is the same as Moslem attacks non moslem. It is just not news because it happens all the time.
I no longer take any news reporting at face value. It ought to be helpful as AI truly comes into play.
But – strange how the Muslim is always treated as something special – besides being the fountain from which all manner of evil can come. None of them can be trusted, and instead should be always watched – in case the individual has become a faithful Muslim.
