A Malaysian court charged five executives from a minimart chain and its supplier with hurting religious feelings on Tuesday (Mar 26) after several pairs of socks emblazoned with the word “Allah” were put on sale in one of its stores.
The case had drawn a rare royal rebuke from Malaysia’s king who called for an investigation and “strict action” against any party found guilty.
Photos of the socks spread on social media, sparking public outrage as some Muslims regarded them to be insulting, especially as their sale took place during the fasting month of Ramadan.
Chai Kee Kan, 57, chief executive of local chain KK Super Mart, and his wife who serves as a company director, were charged with “deliberately intending to hurt the religious feelings” in the Muslim-majority nation, according to a charge sheet seen by AFP.
KK Super Mart has apologised for the socks, saying it viewed the matter “seriously” and had taken action to stop the sale immediately.
Supplier Xin Jian Chang had also issued an apology, saying the “problematic socks were part of a larger shipment of 18,800 pairs ordered” from a company based in China.
It said there were “only five pairs of socks” that had the sensitive word.
Five pairs of socks. Also, Muslims have a history of seeing their deity where he isn’t. Like on ice cream.
Burger King recalls ‘sacrilegious’ desserts
The chain is being forced to spend thousands of pounds redesigning the lid with backing from The Muslim Council of Britain. It apologised and said: “The design simply represents a spinning ice-cream cone.”
The offending lid was spotted in a branch in Park Royal last week by business development manager Rashad Akhtar, 27, of High Wycombe.
He was not satisfied by the decision to withdraw the cones and has called on Muslims to boycott Burger King. He said: “This is my jihad. How can you say it is a spinning swirl? If you spin it one way to the right you are offending Muslims.”
A Muslim Council spokesman said: “We commend the sensitive and prompt action that Burger King has taken.”

Members of the Muslim community are calling on Nike to recall a shoe they claim bears a logo resembling the Arabic word for “Allah.”
Saiqa Noreen, who created the Change.org petition demanding that the footwear and apparel brand remove the Nike Air Max 270 from store shelves, said the symbol on the bottom of the shoe “will surely be trampled, kicked and become soiled with mud or even filth.”
While store executives face prison time over the Allah socks, Muslims have gone on a Sock Jihad.
IPOH: Malaysia police have confirmed that a petrol bomb was thrown at a KK Super Mart convenience store in Perak early Tuesday (Mar 26) morning.
“The 20-year-old complainant was working when she heard the sound of a bottle breaking in front of the store and went to check,” he told reporters on Tuesday.
“There were shards of glass and explosive material resembling firecrackers on the floor. She also smelled an odour resembling kerosene.”

Let me give you an example Mickorn, so as to put it in simplistic terms that even you can understand. Cadbury chocolate Easter eggs (at least in the UK) have been renamed “gesture” eggs so that “other religions” (Muslims) aren’t offended by seeing the word Easter. While it’s possible that the shops carrying the confection have saved themselves from being firebombed by Islamists, Cadbury failed to realize that Christians, who don’t firebomb but are tired of being marginalized, will simply stop buying their product and opt for other companies who promote the holiday.
Chocolate eggs have as much to do with Easter as socks do with Allah, but when a business prioritizes which religion not to be offensive to out of fear, they’ve already lost market share and just haven’t realized it yet. Keep an eye on Cadbury stock, for the fiscal ramifications await them.

It is not necessary for to have such for toilet paper to be the next frontier. They could examine used toilet paper to see whether or not a pattern is a violation committed by the user.
Christians believe the Creator is the all powerful and just God and so they do not need to avenge themselves but can safely leave it to God to judge and defend his honor.

I have often wondered what Radical Moslems, Radical Feminists and Progressive Socialists have in common. I wondered why these groups seem to support each other. It did not make any sense to me.
The political positions and values of each group appear to be diametrically opposed to each other. Things like “Queers for Palestine” made so sense to me. A gay person in Gaza would be killed immediately. Moslems commit honor killings of women which Radical Feminists should oppose.
But now I understand. Radical Moslems, Radical Feminists and Progressive Socialists each live in a permanent state of rage, anger and offense. Their shared sense of permanent anger and offense is more important than the political positions and values they claim to support,
I once heard a Radical Feminist leader say that all women should live in a permanent state of rage. That seems to me to be a miserable way to go through life.
But Radical Feminists, Progressive Socialists and Radical Moslems have all decided to live that way.
Each group is constantly looking for things that offend them and the list of things that offend them is constantly growing and can never end. Yesterday it was statues, drawings or the name of an Army base. Today it is sox. Tomorrow it will be something else.
Look at any demonstration of Moslems, Radical Feminists or Progressive Socialists. What do they have in common? They are all angry and miserable. They can never be happy. They are all in a permanent state of rage.
We believe in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. They believe in death, submission to their ideology and misery.
Bottom line: The goal of each of these groups is to force us all be as angry and miserable as they are. That is what they have in common.
Happiness offends them.

Islamists and Communists have the goal of destroying all rival systems. The do work together to destroy. If they win together, then they have to kill each other. They cannot rule together.
