I made some wrong predictions ahead of Election Day. A whole lot of people did. And those who didn’t, if you average out their predictions across more than one election, made wrong predictions too. Elections, like bond rates or lottery results, have art and science to them, and no one gets it right all the time. (Including the guy the media kept citing for predicting the last 11 out of 12 presidential elections correctly, he’s now 11 out of 13). But there are different ways to react to it.
Here’s the liberal way.
Historian and political scientist Allan Lichtman is blaming disinformation and billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk for his incorrect prediction that Vice President Harris would win the presidency.
“Number one, disinformation. We’ve always had disinformation, but disinformation has exploded to an unprecedented degree. You talked about a grievance election, but a lot of that grievance was driven by disinformation,” Lichtman said during an appearance on Chris Cuomo’s NewsNation show.
My side would have won if we were in total control of the narrative. Rarely has that wish been put quite as bluntly and stupidly.
My predictions were right. It was the American people who got it wrong.
“Lichtman had correctly predicted nearly every presidential race since 1984 using a formula of 13 true-or-false questions, and this year predicted Harris would win, saying only a major event overseas could still flip the race in Trump’s favor.”
But Lichtman has a 100% track record for predicting who should have won every election.
“Lichtman?” Aren’t liches undead ghouls or something like that? It doesn’t sound good, whatever it means. How would you like to have that guy in the same room with you? You know you’d punch him in the face just on general principles, Greeny.
Noone can predict 100%. Even the so-called betting markets are just an approximation to the real probability, which at best is lurking somewhere near what the betting markets predict.
Even if a guy gets it right 13 times in a row that doesn’t mean the 14th time he will get it. If enough jackasses are predicting, there is bound to be someone who gets it right 13 times in a row, just by chance. That is one of the best tricks the casinos play, they get people to play free, and some in the crowd are bound to be winners, just by chance. Then when they put up real money they lose their shirts.
Yes, gambling is for stupid people. Anybody can win sometimes but that shit doesn’t last. They call them addicts for a reason. I used to see degenerate gamblers in Vegas. I was just there to see the big lights and get laid but those addicted guys had real problems. I almost beat one up because he gave me a hard time in some poker game. I didn’t understand his gambling jargon or why he was complaining and didn’t care, I just cared that I was with a girlfriend and wanted to have a good time. I was in my twenties so he was smart to back down when I threatened him.
Gambling. I’ve never understood that addiction. Alcohol and drugs I can understand but not betting to lose.

“Licht” in German and in Yiddish means “light,” as in sunlight. So the approximate meaning of “Lichtman” is “man of light,” or something like that. I also knew a “Dunkelman” who is a physician. “Dunkel” means “dark” in German, as in Dunkelbier (i.e. dark beer).
I like sunlight AND dunkelbier. I live in CA though, and all these vulgarians prefer IPAs. Not a porter or stout in sight, or even a New Belgium 1554. There is Guinness but it costs more than gold.
Lichtman’s claim that grievances are driven by misinformation is unrealistic. It is reality that grievances reveal to the voters even if it takes more than one election cycle. The wisdom of the people is derived from reality. This election reinforced Lincoln’s claim that all of the people cannot be fooled all of the time. Of course, there are fake grievances and that is what Lichtman expected to work to fool the people into voting for Harris, a comfort woman elevated above her level of incompetence ever since.
So the price of gas bread milk etc and utility bills are all misinformation? Great! i want my money back then…. ( leftists are so weird!)
I saw a carton of 18 eggs the other day for $25. bucks! And it wasn’t even that “free range” stuff, which is usually the most expensive. I love eggs for breakfast but not enough to pay $25. bucks for them. I’d go chase down a goose at my local park and eat it raw before that.
