For the longest time, the media played this game of pretending that it doesn’t consist entirely of a bunch of leftist activists who exist to promote their political agenda and attack those of their political opponents.
The pretense is wearing thin. And who knew that Ronna McDaniel of all people would be the breaking point? But it’s kind of like the way that the media’s attacks on dishwater liberals like McCain and Romney, portraying them as Hitler 2.0 just because they posed a threat to Obama, helped kill the media’s credibility.
The attacks on McCain and Romney made it clear that it wasn’t about “conservatives” or “right-wingers”, the media was out to destroy anyone running as a Republican and would tell the same lies about them.
Now NBC News has officially banned Republicans, even ones like Ronna McDaniel, from working there.
Ceasar Conde, the Chair of NBCUniversal News, issued a statement purging Ronna McDaniel while declaring that, “no organization, particularly a newsroom, can succeed unless it is cohesive and aligned.”
Conde claimed that McDaniel was hired in order to present “audiences with a widely diverse set of viewpoints”, but that gets in the way of a “cohesive and aligned” newsroom where everyone shares the same politics.
In his conclusion, Conde claims that NBC News still wants to “seek voices that represent different parts of the political spectrum.”
Just not the former fairly liberal chair of the RNC. Or anything resembling a Republican.
And that’s fine. NBC News is a Democrat organization that exists to push leftist talking points. Republicans and conservatives should publicly identify it as such over and over again.
In the past journalism was about a diverse set of views, without using the Newspeak terms, because it wasn’t “cohesive and aligned.” Now it is a leftist echo chamber. Members of that echo chamber should not be allowed to interview people they disagree with, let alone moderate their debates.
If there’s no room for Republicans at NBC News, Republicans should not be giving interviews to NBC News.
While the label of ‘Republican’ covers vast ground politically (as witnessed by RINO Ronna), conservatives should count MSDNC’s ban as a blessing rather than a curse. It speaks volumes as to the leftist nature. We shouldn’t have been associated with the network LONG before now…and it’s one less microphone in a conservative’s face to respond to. We’ve known their stance for a very long time, they’ve just finally made it official. Just as well, too, because I think someone’s putting something in the watercooler there to make them all nuts.
I remember back in the day arguing with liberal Democrats till I really was blue in the face that cokie Roberts, Sam Donaldson, Huntley, and Brinkley were just liberal, left stooges providing subtle Democrat propaganda.
Now I would like to find those people and give them a good I told you so right on top of their head.. Just like the staff at the new times the patients are running the institution?

They are using the Big Lie technique. Repeating the lies over and over again so they get imprinted in the minds of the gullible masses, who lack the critical thinking ability to see through the fraud.
The cable TV network that brings us Al Sharpton, the reverend race hustler, has pretty much declared that no Republican need apply for employment. Presumably, we can still watch. Good. Now that “Amos ‘n’ Andy” is no longer a TV viewing choice, Al Sharpton is the closet thing we’ve got to the buffoonish “Kingfish.”
I never thought of Sharpton in that context, but the name George “Kingfish: Stevens fits nicely. Also took me back, sitting on the Livingroom floor watching B&W TV.
Rona McRomney needed to go. She betrayed the Republican party, and she also betrayed the people and then went to work for the left. and they let her go too.
What I am seeing is that news corporations are fighting with each other…instead of doing what they are supposed to do…REPORT the news.
Infighting is going to result in the demise of the reporting of the NEWS business.

Again, this reminds me of the back and forth Proscriptions (ruining political opponents economically) of Ancient Rome, such as during the Marius-Sulla era. The Democrats are celebrating now because they have the upper hand. But it can go both ways.
Absolutely right, Algo. We must anticipate about 25 million extra illegal alien votes in the upcoming election. One-party rule is a unifying principle of much (if not all) of what our government has been doing to us.

I am about ready for a divorce. They can have their echo chamber and upper hand. I’m through participating in a society that has community norms that are diametrically opposed to one another. Culture and community are based on cohesive principles, at least on a basic level. Today that just does not exist here.

History teaches about Sen Joseph McCarthy and his commie purge in HellyWeird and the government. Looks like McCarthy was ahead of his time because here we are! Whoever watches these demonic losers is one themselves.
There are a lot of books saying McCarthy was right. I haven’t read any of them, because when I found out about the Venona Project (ultra secret cracking of Soviet codes) I realized someone had tipped McCarthy off about information coming from Venona, so I already knew he was right before the books came out.
I’m not sure McCarthy was actually correct so much or just self-promoting, but even though the HUAC pushed things beyond reason, we might be in need of a fall back to some of their scrutiny.
No doubt McCarthy was right no doubt Martin Dies of house of Un American activities, was correct.

Cohesive and aligned would seem to mean absolutely partisan, if not outright communist party members.

TV gives lonely elderly people with little social contact a false sense of community and social contact. I think that is a big part of what they are doing, creating a false sense of social involvement for such people. Then they can slip in their propaganda in a covert way.
